A sanctuary session at our Hidden Sanctuary includes guided movement, breathwork, meditation, cold plunging and saunas.
We generally offer solar breathwork - a form of intentional hyperventilation followed by a series of breath holds. This is an ancient technique that has been practiced in various forms all over the world. In recent decades it has been studied in depth by modern science so we can understand what is actually happening physiologically. And we know its health benefits - like nervous system health, toning the vagus nerve, increasing intermittent blood alkalinity, suppressing inflammatory proteins, and stimulating a flush of healthy hormones.
This is part of our daily practice. Its benefits increase over time. Never do this in water or while driving because it can be intense!
