🎃👻 Spreading Halloween cheer with Meals on Wheels 👻🎃

We had a spooktacular time packing Halloween treat bags for more than 1,000 Meals on Wheels recipients served by Senior Services Plus in Alton!

These festive goodies will be delivered with their meals to bring a little extra joy, connection and seasonal magic to seniors in our community.

Meals on Wheels is a vital program that delivers nutritious meals to seniors, helping to fight hunger and isolation while promoting health and independence. We’re proud to support this incredible mission.

💙 Bringing care closer to home in Macon County!

The Molina Mobile Help Center partnered with the Macon County Health Department, In-Home Medical Group and Springfield Clinic to make health care more accessible for families in our community.

In 2024, we teamed up for a back-to-school health initiative, providing care over four clinic days from July to October. Together, we completed 105 school, sports and vision exams, and the Health Department administered 137 immunizations.

Thanks to the incredible community response, the program grew in 2025 — doubling to eight clinic days! This year, the Mobile Help Center completed 201 appointments, while the Health Department administered 520 immunizations and performed 28 dental exams.

This continued success is a true testament to the dedication and compassion of our partners and community. We’re already excited to return in 2026!

Molina Healthcare of Illinois is continuing our partnership with Neighborhood Food Pantries, increasing access to free, nutritious food for residents in need. Through a $10,000 grant, we will continue to support their six DuPage County food pantries, estimated to provide 50,000 nutritious meals across six food pantries.

In 2023, 92,610 individuals in DuPage County experienced food insecurity, a significant rise from 2021. Through funding, we are helping strengthen the capacity of local food pantries to meet the growing community need while expanding access to food that is essential for overall well-being.

According to the American Cancer Society, women at average risk for breast cancer can start getting a yearly mammogram at age 40.

A mammogram is a kind of x-ray used by doctors to look for changes in breast tissue that may be caused by breast cancer. It's an important, potentially life-saving, screening for women.

Mammograms are safe and effective, but you may feel nervous before having your first one. These facts and tips can help you feel more at ease and make your experience more comfortable.

🧺 Attention Springfield!

Now through the end of the year, we're partnering with Clean Slate Advocates and All In One Laundry Center and Services to provide free wash days for unhoused residents every Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This program provides individuals in need with access to a free service that helps them maintain proper hygiene habits and empowers them to live confident lives. Join us in improving the overall health and well-being of Illinoisians.

MolinaCares and Molina Healthcare of Illinois are investing in the next generation of Illinois’ health care workforce through a $25,000 grant to Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University in support of their Mini-Medical School.

Illinois is experiencing a shortage of health care professionals, a crisis that is only expected to grow, with data showing a projected shortage of 15,000 nurses by the end of 2025 and 6,200 physicians by 2030.

Through this partnership, Molina and Chicago Medical School are helping increase interest in health care careers to inspire future medical professionals. Molina’s support will fund stipends for medical students to lead and mentor students, resources for parental engagement, and supplies needed for hands-on learning.

Molina Healthcare is collaborating with A Home For All, powered by United Way of Greater Charlotte and other North Carolina community organizations to launch Wellness Without Walls – an innovative pilot program designed to increase access to mental health care for unsheltered North Carolinians.

The program brings on-the-ground mental health care directly to Mecklenburg County residents experiencing homelessness. Molina’s grant partnership will help integrate medication management into the program, setting participants up for long-term success.

Do you know your lemons? It's recommended that women perform breast self-exams monthly, but what should you be looking for when you do? This graphic from KnowYourLemons.org explains what to look for and feel when you check your breasts each month.

Regular self-exams will help you to feel and see what is normal for your breasts and detect any changes in them. Noticing and reporting any changes, like lumps or skin discoloration, to your doctor can help them catch and treat signs of breast cancer.
