Dyslexia is commonly misunderstood. It is a neurological condition and studies have shown that it has nothing to do with intelligence. One might have slightly more trouble in reading, but it does not make them any less smarter than everyone else, it just means it takes them more time. Did you know that Thomas Edison, Stephen Spielberg, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Charles Schwab has/had dyslexia? They are some examples to show how dyslexia does not take away from how far you can get in life.
October is dyslexia awareness month, if you or someone you know may have dyslexia, you can take IDA’s test to see the chance of you having this condition. To learn more, check out dyslexiaida.org

Did you know that October is emotional wellness month?❤️
This is a reminder to take a second and ask yourself, “how are you feeling?”
It is really important to reflect on how you are feeling from time to time, as it can affect your relationships and mental health.
The National Institutes of Health described that there are 6 strategies to improving your emotional health:
1 Brighten your outlook
2 Reduce stress
3 Get quality sleep
4 Be mindful
5 Cope with loss
6 Strengthen social connections
