Dr. Nicholas attended the For The Child Legacy Luncheon: Celebrating 50 Years of Hope & Healing.

She was enchanted by Chase Arcangel-Chhem, a soloist from the Long Beach Youth Chorus, who performed “Defying Gravity” from the acclaimed film “Wicked.”

Chase is also a patient of TCC Family Health, and his performance alongside
Pianist Daniel Manoiu & Executive Director Stan DeWitt was truly remarkable!

TCC has been honored and blessed to partner with For The Child. We extend heartfelt congratulations to them on all their work and achieving this significant milestone of 50 years. For The Child has empowered families preventing the trauma of child abuse, neglect, and exposure to violence, and assists low-income children and families in their healing journey.

Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This past Saturday, we walked in unity and pride at the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in Long Beach, celebrating the timeless message of equality and justice that Dr. King so passionately championed.

We would like to thank Dr. Suely Saro , her staff, community members and groups for putting on this wonderful parade and celebration honoring the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King .

Also a heartfelt thank you to all the TCC staff and families who joined us in this wonderful event. Your presence and enthusiasm made it a remarkable day of community and collaboration.

We were thrilled to capture moments with leaders like Councilmember Dr. Joni Ricks-Oddie, The Ladies of Zeta Phi Beta, and Dr. Nina Richardson. These snapshots not only captured smiles but also the spirit of togetherness and hope for a brighter future.

Let’s continue to embody Dr. King’s dream in our everyday actions, fostering love, and understanding within our community.

For the next 4 weeks, let’s remind Congress of how many of their constituents and depend on a bipartisan, long-term funding solution for health centers and workforce programs!
• February 12 – 16: Primary Care as Cost-Savings to the Healthcare System
✅ Preventative primary care in health centers saves taxpayer money by reducing unnecessary procedures, hospital stays, and ER visits.
✅ Spending per Medicaid patient is 24% lower & per Medicare patient is 30% lower at health centers compared to other outpatient clinics. An economic analysis estimated the annual savings to the health system at $24 billion.

Act now to call your Senators and Representatives. Tell them why we need to secure long-term, stable funding for health centers!

Our movement's strength is in our people.
