Travel Eye Essentials

If you’re heading out for holiday travel, don’t forget to pack these eye care must-haves to keep your vision clear and comfortable:

1. Artificial tears — keep eyes hydrated on flights and long drives.
2. Daily disposable contact lenses — the easiest, cleanest option for travel.
3. Hypochlorous acid spray — simple eyelid hygiene on the go.
4. Back-up glasses — essential in case lenses tear or frames get lost.
5. Disposable eyelid wipes — refresh tired or irritated eyes anytime.
6. A copy of your prescription — helpful if glasses break or get misplaced.
7. Disposable warm compresses — soothe dryness and eye fatigue.
8. Sunglasses with UV protection — protect your eyes from winter sun glare.
9. Eye pads — great for rest and relieving post-flight puffiness.

Traveling for the holidays?
Make sure your prescription is current and your eye essentials are packed.

I’ve been MIA from the office and social lately as we welcomed our second baby girl in August and adjusted to life as a family of four. Now that things have settled, I’m excited to be back, reconnect with patients, and return to the work I love.

We also quietly celebrated our 2-year anniversary in September, and I’m so grateful for how much this little practice has grown. Thank you for your patience, support, and kindness during this season.

Can’t wait to see everyone as we finish out the year and look ahead to year three.

Warning: Some of these eye images may be a little spooky—but so are the real risks behind them.

Some things are scarier than ghosts—like sleeping in your contacts or skipping your annual eye exam.
This Halloween, don’t let spooky vision haunt you. Protect your eyes from tricks and treat them to a check-up.

Keep your lenses clean.
Blink often to break the dry-eye curse.
Never buy costume contacts without a prescription.

Book your exam today before blurry vision creeps up on you.

A recap of a very a busy and rewarding week:
We had the privilege of working with a patient who has 𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐬 helping them get fitted for 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐬 designed specifically for this condition. Keratoconus causes the cornea to thin and change shape, which can distort vision, but with the right lenses, we’re able to provide a clearer, more stable visual experience for our patients. These lenses are life-changing, and it’s always so fulfilling to see the difference they make in restoring quality of life and vision.

We also saw a number of 𝐝𝐫𝐲 𝐞𝐲𝐞 patients this week. Dry eye can be such a frustrating condition, but with a combination of treatments, lifestyle adjustments, and helpful advice, we were able to provide relief and improve their comfort.

Our 𝐩𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐞𝐲𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐬 were another highlight this week! It’s always a joy to see young faces in the office and ensure their eyes are healthy and developing well. Early eye exams are so important in detecting any potential issues and setting them up for a lifetime of good vision. From glasses fittings to making the experience fun and stress-free, we’re all about keeping kids’ eyes healthy and happy!

It’s been a week filled with meaningful moments, and we’re so grateful for the opportunity to care for our patients. Looking forward to another week of making a difference in eye health!
