Independence at Home IAH offers no-cost programs and services designed to assist older adults and their caregivers.

Independence at Home is a community service of SCAN, a senior-focused organization founded in Long Beach, California in 1977. The goal then was to create a program to provide seniors easy access to community-based services that would allow them to remain healthy and independent at home. Today, Independence at Home offers a range of programs to meet the needs of seniors, disabled adults and their c

In May, communities across the country will celebrate Older Americans Month, led by the Administration for Community Living (ACL)—and this year’s theme is Champion Your Health. It’s a reminder that healthy aging starts with prevention, wellness, and taking an active role in your own care. 💪💙
