Developing Future Leaders Organization is a team of educated, experienced and passionate professionals, from city employees and professors to lawyers, doctors, teachers and nurses. Our organizational programs began raising funds and hosting fundraising events nearly a decade ago in order to bring about change in our community. These much needed funds have aided hundreds of families in the Long Bea
ch Community. We have helped bridge the financial gap in our district and have begun to rebuild the academic foundation. We support school staff and even purchase program supplies for the youth in our community. The Developing Future Leaders Organization believes in giving back to the community to promote growth and success to our future generation. It is a statiscal fact that excellent schools help communities thrive. Therefore, we strive to ensure our local schools and academic enrichment programs have the tools and resources required to weave a strong fabric for the Long Beach Community. We help our kids build fundamental skills for a successful today and tomorrow. Our core subjects and basic curriculum are the foundation for any child's future to graduate from high school and to continue on to college. Developing Future Leaders Organization, PLATO Academy Students and the Long Beach Community are collaborating to help our kids achieve their dreams - it's a circle of success! With our hands-on approach, coupled with our ties to the neighborhood and unique experiences, our organization is in the position to strengthen our communities by Developing Future Leaders. Additional educational funds are needed to help supplement Plato Academy Charter School and under-write our Reaches for Youth After-School Program that is slated to open in September 2014 for grades K-8th. Plato Academy will concentrate on the core subjects of Science, Math, Reading and Technology in order to ensure the best future for our students. In addition to in-school partnerships, Reaches for Youth will provide a comprehensive After-Shool Program that is fun for the kids, keeps them safe and also feeds their minds. Our exemplary programs will help our youth achieve success in school and in their daily lives.
