JFCS of Long Beach & Orange County

JFCS of Long Beach & Orange County The vision of JFCS is a community healed, one person, one family at a time.

Our mission is to empower people to make positive changes through professional, affordable counseling and social services. We serve everyone in the entire community, without regard for religion, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, disability, or sexual orientation. JFCS is the only agency in Long Beach/South Bay/Orange County area that serves the entire life cycle, ages 4-104, on a sliding fee scale. We work with individuals, couples, families to address a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, loss, trauma, anger, grief, and stress. We offer the comfort of knowing that one need not face life's challenges, or celebrate life's victories, alone.

Our doors are open and we have a fresh new look! ✨

We recently renovated our counseling rooms to create a more relaxing and inviting space for our community. From softer, warmer lighting to more supportive, comfortable seating, every change was made with their peace of mind in mind. We want our clients to feel right at home the moment they walk through the door.

Take a look at the "Before" and "After" photos to see the transformation. We’ve moved from a simple office setting to a truly restful space. 🛋️

What’s your favorite new detail?

Reflecting on a wonderful afternoon at the Community Wellness Resource Fair hosted by SAHARA on January 25th. 🤝

Our team of clinicians loved connecting with neighbors, sharing mental health resources, and supporting the vital work for accessible wellness tools in our community. ✨

Building a healthier future starts with showing up for one another, and we’re still feeling inspired by the conversations we had.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to say hello! ❤️

Happy Tu B’Shvat from JFCS Long Beach and Orange County! 🌱✨

Today, we celebrate the "New Year of the Trees," a beautiful time to reflect on our own personal growth. Just as we care for the trees, we must care for ourselves.

Tu B'Shvat reminds us that: 🌳 Growth takes time and patience. 💧 Caring for our mental health is as important as watering a garden. 🙏 Gratitude is a powerful tool for healing and renewal.

Take a moment today to appreciate the roots that ground you and the progress you’ve achieved. Let's grow together. 🌿

Looking for more meaningful ways to celebrate? Check out this Tu B’Shvat Seder focused on gratitude and mental health from The Blue Dove Foundation:

Today, January 27, we observe International Holocaust Remembrance Day, marking the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. 🕯️

We honor the memory of the six million Jews and millions of others lost to N**i persecution. At JFCS, we are privileged to walk alongside our local community of survivors and their descendants in Long Beach and Orange County.

It is our honor to ensure that every survivor has the resources and support to live with dignity and comfort. By preserving their stories and remembering the past, we commit to a future of compassion and courage.

May the memory of those lost be a blessing. 🕊️
