I still like foam rollers for self myofascial release, but think that many people could benefit even more by upgrading to these newer tools.

Research related to psychotherapy has shown that the best predictor of the client improving is the quality of the therapeutic relationship of therapist and client – not the particular psychotherapeutic approach being practiced.

This reinforces the idea that, rather than the method applied to the patient, it is the relationship which is crucial. With a very healthy therapeutic relationship, the patient will most successfully mobilize their inner healing resources.

Because ultimately the source of healing is the client – people are for the most part, self-healing entitites. The best touch is going to be one that evokes and amplifies this capacity within the client.
