HAMDS is happy to announce that they are extending the scholarship deadline to November 30, 2024. If you are interested, please apply using the link https://hamds.org/apply-for-a-scholarship/ or you can email info@hamds.org to be sent an application.

The application period for the 2024 Scholarships is now open. In order to qualify, applicants must be of Hellenic descent and (a) be enrolled in an accredited CA Medical or Dental School OR (b) be a permanent resident of CA and enrolled in an accredited Medical or Dental School in the USA

If you are, or know someone, of Greek descent who is enrolled in an accredited California Medical or Dental school or is a resident of California enrolled in an accredited Medical or Dental School elsewhere, please share this information with then.

It was a wonderful HAMDS event on Sunday, January 7th, 2024 for our scholarship recipients. We all had an amazing time. We thank everyone for coming and supporting our event and our scholarship recipients. Congratulations to our scholarship recipients: Vasiliki Courelli, Vasiliki Tasouli - Drakou, Namie Fotion, Ariana Chirban, George Parisis, and Hristos Courellis and good luck in your studies.

The Hellenic-American Medical and Dental Society of California is happy to announce our scholarship recipients for 2023:

1) Namie Fotion who is a medical student at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She is studying to be a Doctor of Allopathic Medicine and she will be receiving the Michael Halikis Scholarship

2) Vasiliki Courelli is an MD/PhD student at the University of
Pennsylvania. She will be receiving the Dr. James Kallins Scholarship

3) Vasiliki Tasouli-Drakou is a medical student, at the Touro University of Nevada who is studying Osteopathic Medicine. She will be receiving the Dimitri Halikis Scholarship.

4) Ariana Chirban is a third year medical student, at UC San Diego, School of Medicine who will be receiving the HAMDS Scholarship.

5) Hristos Courellis is a dual degree MD/PhD student at UCLA/Caltech and he will be receiving the Dr. Ioannis Giannikopoulos Scholarship.

6) George Parisis is studying Dental Surgery at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry and he will be receiving the HAMDS Scholarship.
