The most detrimental mistske is the avoidance of self conflict and the fear of having the important talks with self which is known as self awareness and deep self reflection. If we deal with the self conflict then we will not cringe at having the tough conversations with another. Couple and self intimacy leads you down a road of being open to vulnerability and transparency. Once you feel safe to be vulnerable and transparent, authenticity will organically happen. Note: Everyone doesnt deserve your vulnerability but knowing self will provide you with the desernment to know who does. Authenticity is essential to an effective result when ushering in the tough conversation. Whether it’s a tough conversation needed in our personal or professional relationships-it’s necessary to desire a happy and healthy relationship and do the necessary work to achieve it. Lets switch our focus for a moment to our professional goals and needs. Business Intimacy is necessary and a tough conversation to begin. Most business owners don't think of business as being intimate but on the contrare.....when you connect deeper to your client/customer, you become a better entrepreneur, leader, sales person and have a better understanding of your products and customer needs. It's the simple things in life that are truly a blessing. My mom showing up and supporting me is one of them. Even yesterday, while dealing with her own grief over the loss of a friend, she still made time to help me be the best version of myself. I'm so thankful that God saw fit to allow me to share my life with the one parent I have left. Losing a parent is one of the hardest things anyone can go through because of the bond and they gave you life, but God, in His wisdom, has allowed me to still have my mom.

At 77 years old, she's a great-grandmother, and many people call her "mom." I willingly share her with those in need, but I will always be her first. My mom is exactly who I needed on this journey called life. God made her just for me.

Business Intimacy retreat

It all starts with a thought, notes, a vision, and much preparation. But no matter how prepared you are, you must know how to pivot. And boy, did I have to pivot for this retreat! I found an Airbnb that looked amazing in pictures, but it was a total scam. The place was hot, muggy, and smelled awful. Thankfully, Airbnb refunded me after two hours.

Despite the chaos, we quickly found another property. We had to drive from Galveston to Houston, which wasn't close. I keep saying "we" because my mom, my greatest support, was with me. The new place was perfect for us, especially at the last minute. We grabbed a quick bite, and then the attendees started arriving. I had to convince myself it was going to be a great retreat, even though it didn’t start that way.

Self-care is always essential!

When running business retreats, self-care is crucial. After thinking critically and analyzing so much, we need to relax and reconnect with ourselves. It's important to celebrate our efforts and be our own cheerleaders. Creating, revamping, or adding new strategies to a business takes a lot of work.
