Something new is here 🧩

Our compassionate clinicians, Porschia Coleman () and Olufunmiké Salami () have always brought deep care to their work.

Now they’re bringing that same heart to our practice’s newest offering: EMDR for Kids

If your child has experienced trauma, big emotions, or struggles that feel bigger than words—there’s a path forward.

Children deserve healing that awakens their natural resilience. Trauma work that honors how they experience the world. Through play. Through their senses. Through connection.

You don’t have to navigate this alone. We’re ready to hold space for your child’s journey.

Intensive work, held with care — Bookings are now open

Beginning March 16th, Junie Abito () is opening a small number of virtual, intensive therapy spaces at Tala Mental Health.

These offerings come from years of practice, listening, and building—what began as Rose Junie Therapy and grew into Tala: a practice rooted in awareness, depth, and integrity.

Two distinct paths, each held slowly and intentionally:

🌿 5-Day EMDR Intensives
For those ready to meet what’s been living beneath the surface—trauma, anxiety, memories the body hasn’t finished processing yet.
Not rushed. Not forced.
At the root.

🤍 3-Day Couples Intensives
For couples standing at a crossroads.
Not to fix. Not to convince.
But to slow down, tell the truth, and find clarity about what comes next.

This work is personally facilitated by Junie and shaped around each person who enters.

Limited availability, scheduling now open
Intensives begin March 16th
All sessions will be conducted virtually*

Take your time.
This work will meet you there.

We are more than a therapy office. We are a safe and protected space for healing—one where your voice is respected and your wellbeing is our priority.

ICE is not permitted in our offices, and we are intentional about creating an environment where clients can seek care without fear.

In support of our community, we offer Know Your Rights materials and immigrant resources. Red Cards are available in person at our offices, and additional resources can be accessed through our website or through our ig highlight.

We believe meaningful mental health care includes both emotional support and practical, real-world resources.

Whether you are navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, or the stress of uncertainty, we are here with you. Our work is rooted in culturally responsive, evidence-based care, with the goal that every client feels safe, supported, and empowered throughout their healing process.

We’ve been gathering resources to support immigration advocacy. Here’s a simple way to take action:

We are more than a therapy office. We are a safe, protected space for healing, where your voice is respected and your wellbeing comes first. ICE is not welcome in our offices. We are intentional about creating an environment where clients can seek care without fear.

To further support our community, we provide Know Your Rights cards and immigrant resources—cards available in person at our offices and resources accessible online through our website. We believe mental health care should be paired with real, practical support.

Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, or the stress of uncertainty, we stand with you. Our work is rooted in culturally responsive, evidence-based care—so every client feels seen, supported, and empowered to heal in safety. 💛

Jessica Guillen (she/her), LCSW #88600

I work with children, adults, couples, and families, creating a space where you can bring your whole self—your culture, identity, questions, and experiences. As a q***r Latina and first-generation American, I deeply understand the ways intersecting identities, family dynamics, and life experiences shape who we are.

I support clients navigating grief, identity exploration, family conflict, and relationship challenges, and I also work with LGBTQ+ and immigrant communities to provide affirming, culturally responsive care. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you feel truly seen, heard, and supported.

You are enough. You are worthy. And you deserve a space to explore, heal, and grow. 🤎

Marissa Lian (she/her), ACSW #107123

I work with children, teens, and young adults who have experienced deep emotional pain, trauma, or long-standing feelings of being misunderstood. Many of the clients I support identify as survivors, “black sheep,” or outcasts—and are looking for a space where they can feel truly seen, honored, and supported.

My approach is deeply relational and trauma-informed. I focus on understanding who you are at your core, your story, your strengths, your fears, and the identity you’re growing into—without judgment. I also support kids with ADHD and learning differences, helping them build confidence, emotional awareness, and tools to thrive.

Therapy is an act of courage and self-growth. There’s no perfect time to begin—only the choice to invest in yourself. If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you with empathy and walk alongside you with care, I’d be honored to support you at Tala Mental Health. 🤎

Kristiana Guzman (she/her), LMFT #152965

I support individuals and couples navigating grief, identity shifts, and moments when life feels heavy or uncertain. My approach is calm, steady, and centered on helping you feel less alone in what you’re carrying.

In my work, I offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) as a gentle option for processing painful experiences, along with space to explore relationship repair and rebuilding trust when things feel fractured.

You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. Therapy can be a place to slow down, breathe, and learn how to care for yourself in new ways. There’s room here to go slowly, ask questions, and be supported along the way. 🤎

Elaine Raif (she/her), LCSW #130535

I work with people moving through grief, loss, and life transitions — the kinds of moments that quietly change who we are. Whether you’re grieving a person, a relationship, an identity, or a version of yourself, you don’t have to carry it alone.

My approach is steady, human, and deeply attuned. I believe support is not about fixing, but about being with — listening, reflecting, and helping you make meaning as you move toward what’s next.

If you’ve had a “something has to change” moment, or you’re learning how to live alongside loss while still welcoming new beginnings, support is here when you’re ready. 🤎

Olufunmiké Salami (she/her), ASW #115623

My own lived experiences shape how I show up as a therapist. Living in a society that doesn’t always value humanity, I lead with it — creating a humanistic, nonjudgmental space where you can be fully seen, heard, and accepted, no matter how you show up or what choices you’ve made.

This is a place to explore your identity, embrace the changes you want to make, and grow at your own pace. You can and should come as you are — you’re not too much, and you’re not behind. Sometimes it just takes time to find your tribe and your space.

I’m currently accepting new clients at Tala Mental Health, and I’d be honored to create a space where you can explore who you are, find your voice, and step into your growth without judgment. 🤎
