NICA/ARC First Aid, CPR & responding to cycling emergencies certification class will be given
February 22 @ 3p in Huntington NY ( exact location will be determined based on number of registered students )

this is a combined CPR/First Aid class on how to respond to injuries and emergencies while on trail. This is an 7 hour class and is satisfies First Aid & CPR requirements for NICA level 3 coaches. The course cost $110 and includes all materials - for this class to accepted for Level 3 coaches the majority of your training and riding must be within 1 hour from an EMS response.
If you are more than 1 hour for an EMS response you are requited to take Wilderness First Aid (16 hours $225) + CPR/AED (4 hours $75)

This class is open to the Public ($125) & is an excellent resource for any outdoorsman or back country sportsman.

50% of the Proceeds of this class will be used to purchase NICA first aid equipment

Stay Tuned . . . As the Long Island Hurricanes launches Shred Girlz - our effort to get more girls on bikes.

Long Island Hurricanes and NICA NY has some incredible female athletes and we need more. Join us this Fall for with Molly Hurford Elite Cyclist, Author, Coach and Adventurer as we get more girls on bikes.

Shred Girlz will have girls rides, mechanics & first aid classes, lots of SWAG and goodies + great fun and great friends.

Ticks are all over this year and there are many tick borne illnesses. Please take care especially with children as their immune systems are not as developed.
