How it Feels When You Shift from Fear-Based to Value-Based Parenting 🌟

Ever found yourself paralyzed by the fear that you might be screwing up your kids? 😟 The endless sleepless nights spent imagining worst-case scenarios can be exhausting and overwhelming.

Imagine instead making decisions based on your core values rather than on the fear of making mistakes. 🌈 When you start choosing from a place of what truly matters to you, rather than being paralyzed by “what ifs,” you unlock a new level of peace and confidence in your parenting.

✨ Embrace uncertainty: Life is unpredictable, and so is parenting. Accepting that you can’t control every outcome allows you to focus on what you can influence.

✨ Make choices based on probability, not possibilities: Focus on realistic outcomes rather than improbable fears. By doing so, you can approach each decision with clarity and trust in your own judgment.

Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there. Especially to these two amazing guys. A daddy’s girl at heart I love reflecting back on all the amazing memories I have made with my Dad who continues to be one of my biggest supporters in life. And to my husband who is always bringing the fun and reminding us not to take life too seriously. He will also never see this post 😂 because he’s way too smart to be o social media. May is Maternal Mental Health Awareness Month and it’s time to raise awareness for all of those who are and have been affected by a Perinatal Mental Health Disorder in order to reduce the stigma associated with what is for many a very challenging, isolating and vulnerable time of life.
This month I was be posting about different topics related to perinatal mental health including my own journey and I hope you’ll follow along.
The numbers are staggering. If you are a mom who has or does have a PMAD I want you to know you are not alone. You are not broken. You are not at in way to blame and that there is A LOT of help available to you.
You can and will be well again.
If you are currently struggling with a PMAD or know someone who is please reach out to a therapist certified in perinatal mental health. I have attached several directory’s to this post.
