As the government shutdown continues, many of our members are facing uncertainty about their SNAP benefits and how they’ll afford their next meal.
Thanks to a generous donation from Dermer Dreams, Shore House will waive meal charges for all members for the duration of the shutdown.

Our community is built on connection, compassion, and action — and right now, our members need help more than ever.

So far in 2025, Shore House has welcomed over 3,200 member visits — a 13% increase year to date! Every day, members and staff work side by side to keep our community running strong — preparing meals, supporting one another, and proving that recovery happens together.

At Shore House, every meal we serve is more than just food — it’s connection, care, and community. For many of our members, it’s the only nutritious meal they’ll have that day. To date, we have served over 3,800 meals.

Unfortunately, nearly all of our members will lose access to their SNAP benefits due to the ongoing government shutdown. We are working overtime to ensure no one goes hungry — providing nutritious meals and supplemental food to those who need it most.

We’re especially grateful to Dermer Dreams for leading a record-breaking food drive to support our community, including Shore House members, during this challenging time. With their help, we collected over 200 bags and 1,000 pounds of food!

Your continued generosity ensures members in our community have what they need most. 💙
