Dear Friends,
I'm so sorry to say that The Zen Box is closing, with our last day of classes on August 31, 2021.
Right up until the end of last week, I hoped and planned for the studio to weather COVID-19 and eventually make the new location a success. As it turns out, that's not in the cards for TZB and it's time to lower the curtain on a fulfilling 3+ years.
Members of the studio shared some amazing moments and it's hard to sum up our journey together. Personally, it was my pride and joy, my livelihood, and my passion. I got to try things out, screw things up, and overall grew as a person. But as you know it was never about any one person. The thing that made TZB great was the community focus. It was the people that practiced together, created new relationships, shared laughs, and shed tears.
That being said, I am excited to share some good news with you as a TZB Member. I teamed up with Sunlight Yoga Studio in Davenport to offer you the opportunity to continue your practice. Sunlight Yoga Studio shares TZB’s values with a strong focus on community and has a wide variety of classes and instructors. They have been gracious enough to honor your current monthly membership and have an incredible offer to become a member when your TZB monthly membership expires.
To help welcome you to Sunlight Yoga Studio, we are hosting an Open House next Friday Aug 27th at 11:30am. There will be special door prizes, drinks, and snacks. You will get to meet Rebecca Sebastian, Owner and Instructor. Rachel and I will also be there to help answer any questions you may have. If you are unable to attend, I highly encourage you to visit their beautiful space when you are able.
We are excited to share that Rachel will teach two days a week in the mornings at Sunlight. I plan to take some time off from full-time teaching, however plan to occasionally lead pop-up classes and workshops.
On the housekeeping front, I want to share some important information regarding your accounts and payments:
- All autopayments have been turned off. Your account will not be charged again by TZB.
- If your current membership has expired, and you want to continue to attend classes at TZB until August 31st, you may purchase single classes to pay as a drop-in.
- I will set up one-on-one phone calls with every current TZB member at a time that’s convenient for you starting 8/25/21. We will review your current TZB membership and talk about the transition over to Sunlight Yoga Studio.
