Hey you! Yeah....you! Trying to lose weight? News flash and hard truth: Starving yourself doesn't work. Depriving yourself of things that you enjoy isn't sustainable. When discussed with a professional (and I don't mean your physician, I mean a solid nutritionist) most people find that they are calorie DEFICIENT. I've said it before and I'll say it again, your body and your metabolism are MACHINES. They need fuel to run. Eat more to lose weight you say?! YES! Stop eating s**t! Turn the machine on and feed that bad boy. You don't need a coach to tell you that. Lots of vegetables, lean proteins, some fruit, limited starch, nuts and seeds. Whole, unprocessed foods! Limit your sugar intake as much as possible and beware where you find those hidden sugars that you didn't think about (drinks!). Stop counting calories and count grams of sugar if you're going to count anything!! Success in the gym and in your health journey just relies on two things: consistency, and commitment. That will conclude this rant. See you in the gym peeps.

Good lifestyle choices are easy to make. You don't need unsustainable diets and complex exercise routines, nor do you need to make huge personal sacrifices. You need commitment, and the older we get, the harder that commitment is going to be to sustain. Simple advice: Our bodies are highly complex machines, the most advanced on the planet. Now theoretically.....if you had a Ferrari, would you put 87 octane in it? Would you not maintain it, park it outside and let the grass grow around it? Think of food as fuel, and your body needs quality food to perform well. I'm not talking about losing weight. I'm talking about daily energy levels, quality of sleep, mental focus, muscle growth and recovery, pain and inflammation management, and the list goes on. If you put 87 octane in your Ferrari, it's going to run like s**t. STOP thinking you need a "diet", you don't. Eat quality foods, move your body a few times a week, and you will be well on your way. Fuel your body according to the way you want it to perform, don't worry about that little extra chunk. Commit. We're here to help you do that. See you in the gym.
