The summer tourist season is starting to blossom here in the beautiful Adirondacks! We wanted to take a second to welcome back all of our loyal summer gym members! We also look forward to making new friendships this year as we see new faces come into town! For those who don't know, we are a completely dope 24/7 gym right in the heart of Long Lake. Wow, long time no post!! We're just popping in to check on you. First off, we want to take a second to thank our loyal year round members! We also would like to remind everyone else that'd we'd love to have you come and check us out! If you've been in our facility you know that we don't mess around, we've built this gym right. If you haven't been in... don't take our word for it, ask any of our members! We would love to have you see what we're all about. Anytime is a good time as we can always unlock remotely if we can't coordinate, we are a 24/7 facility. FREE WEEK!! Hey Long Lake! Have you been wanting to check out our facility? From now until Saturday 11/29, we are opening our doors to anyone who would like to come in and poke around, try some of our equipment, and get a workout in...for FREE! Even if you're just being nosy, that's ok! You will be amazed at the quality of equipment, and what we have managed to fit in a small space! We pride ourselves in having a top notch gym accessible to a small mountain community, and we want you to be a part of it! Hey you! Yeah....you! Trying to lose weight? News flash and hard truth: Starving yourself doesn't work. Depriving yourself of things that you enjoy isn't sustainable. When discussed with a professional (and I don't mean your physician, I mean a solid nutritionist) most people find that they are calorie DEFICIENT. I've said it before and I'll say it again, your body and your metabolism are MACHINES. They need fuel to run. Eat more to lose weight you say?! YES! Stop eating s**t! Turn the machine on and feed that bad boy. You don't need a coach to tell you that. Lots of vegetables, lean proteins, some fruit, limited starch, nuts and seeds. Whole, unprocessed foods! Limit your sugar intake as much as possible and beware where you find those hidden sugars that you didn't think about (drinks!). Stop counting calories and count grams of sugar if you're going to count anything!! Success in the gym and in your health journey just relies on two things: consistency, and commitment. That will conclude this rant. See you in the gym peeps.
