Turn your post-ride treat session into a flexibility-boosting game!

These simple rounding exercises help your horse stay supple through the neck and back—leading to better movement, a happier ride, and extra support between bodywork or chiro visits.

✅ Start with them standing fairly square
✅ Use bait (aka snacks) to guide the stretch
✅ Hold it for a few seconds
✅ Repeat 3–5 times each side

Do these after work while they’re warm for max benefit. Slow and steady—don’t rush the reach!

Working towards our goals is exactly the same. It’s easy to feel like you’re behind if you’re not running at full speed—but it’s about finding your pace, staying balanced, and moving forward with purpose.

We’ve all heard “No Hoof = No Horse,” but do we really give that statement the attention it deserves?

Imagine building your dream home on a crooked foundation—no matter how carefully you design it, cracks will start appearing, doors won’t close properly, and the entire structure will suffer.

The same goes for your horse! Their hooves are their foundation, and when that foundation is off, everything above it—muscles, joints, and even nerves—feels the strain. Even small imbalances can lead to big issues over time, affecting your horse’s comfort, mobility, and performance.

Take a look at your horse’s hooves next time you see them. Notice any uneven wear, posture changes, or discomfort? Catching these subtle signs early can prevent major issues down the road.

Want more proof that hoof balance matters?
A study involving 12 horses with negative plantar angles showed that correcting hoof-pastern alignment through targeted trimming and shoeing significantly improved their posture. This means addressing hind hoof imbalances doesn’t just help their feet—it can positively influence their whole body, improving comfort, performance, and overall musculoskeletal health.
