"My horse was really stiff and had no flexibility in her hind end. As someone who barrel races, I needed a solution fast. Brooke's connection with my horses was something I had never witnessed before. Within minutes, she clearly laid out a plan that met my goals and made me feel comfortable. We determined that massage, coupled with FES, would get us moving in the right direction. My horse was already showing progress after one session, and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Brooke."

Here's your sign to try FES!

This horse owner had been treating her mare to regular massage sessions, but after just the initial series of FES, she noticed HUGE improvements. Her horse felt more elastic, powerful, and overall more engagedโ€”ready to take on the world! ๐Ÿ’ช

If you're curious about FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation), it's a gentle way to activate muscles deeply, helping with rehab, performance, and overall well-being. Think of it as a targeted workout that bypasses joint stressโ€”perfect for horses recovering from injury or those just needing that extra edge.

Curious? Letโ€™s chat and see how FES can help your horse feel & perform their best!

Turn your post-ride treat session into a flexibility-boosting game!

These simple rounding exercises help your horse stay supple through the neck and backโ€”leading to better movement, a happier ride, and extra support between bodywork or chiro visits.

โœ… Start with them standing fairly square
โœ… Use bait (aka snacks) to guide the stretch
โœ… Hold it for a few seconds
โœ… Repeat 3โ€“5 times each side

Do these after work while theyโ€™re warm for max benefit. Slow and steadyโ€”donโ€™t rush the reach!

Stretching is one of the easiest (and underrated) ways to help your horse stay flexible, balanced, and moving their best.

These 3 lateral neck stretches target soft tissue tightness along the poll, neck, and ribcage.

Check this video out for key tips and pointers & save it for the next time you're at the barn!

Youโ€™ve done all the right thingsโ€”massage, chiropractic, routine vet work. But those same pesky issues keep popping up under saddle.

Familiar story? It might be time to dig deeper.

Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) helps activate muscles from the inside out (up to 8" below the surface!)โ€”restoring normal movement, reducing pain, and supporting your horseโ€™s recovery, comfort & enhancing their performance.

Think about trotting polesโ€”you donโ€™t just charge through at full speed willy-nilly and expect things to magically work out, right? You slow down, find a steady rhythm, balance, and approach them with intention.

Working towards our goals is exactly the same. Itโ€™s easy to feel like youโ€™re behind if youโ€™re not running at full speedโ€”but itโ€™s about finding your pace, staying balanced, and moving forward with purpose.

Take a breath. Set your pace. Tackle this week with intention. You've got this.

P.S. If your horse needs help finding balance, Brookeโ€™s schedule for bodywork appointments fills quicklyโ€”reach out and let's get your horse feeling their best!

Weโ€™ve all heard โ€œNo Hoof = No Horse,โ€ but do we really give that statement the attention it deserves?โ€จ
Imagine building your dream home on a crooked foundationโ€”no matter how carefully you design it, cracks will start appearing, doors wonโ€™t close properly, and the entire structure will suffer.โ€จ
The same goes for your horse! Their hooves are their foundation, and when that foundation is off, everything above itโ€”muscles, joints, and even nervesโ€”feels the strain. Even small imbalances can lead to big issues over time, affecting your horseโ€™s comfort, mobility, and performance.โ€จ
Take a look at your horseโ€™s hooves next time you see them. Notice any uneven wear, posture changes, or discomfort? Catching these subtle signs early can prevent major issues down the road.โ€จโ€จWant more proof that hoof balance matters?โ€จA study involving 12 horses with negative plantar angles showed that correcting hoof-pastern alignment through targeted trimming and shoeing significantly improved their posture. This means addressing hind hoof imbalances doesnโ€™t just help their feetโ€”it can positively influence their whole body, improving comfort, performance, and overall musculoskeletal health. Feeling like your horse isnโ€™t moving the way they should? Is there a lingering stiffness under saddle that's leaving you both a bit frustrated? Is the dream of a strong and supple topline still just out of reach?

Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) might be the missing piece.

Imagine this: Your horse's topline is filling out at an impressive rate. The warm-up time before each ride is halved. You can actually feel your horse's lifting his back beneath you during a ride. Your horse is stretching their head down freely under saddle. These are the real-life experiences of horse owners who have tried FES therapy for their horses.

If your goal is a horse that moves better, feels better, and performs better, FES could be your answer. Want to learn more about how FES therapy can boost your horse's comfort and movement? Follow the link in my bio to my website or text (612) 201-9623 to get on the schedule!!

Help Improve Your Horseโ€™s Front Limb & Shoulder Mobility ๐Ÿดโœจ

Does your horse struggle with front limb imbalances, toe in or out, or just feel heavy in the forehand during work? These issues often lead to compensatory tension and restrictions in the shoulder and thoracic sling muscles.

But let's not forget, tension in one area may indicate an imbalance in another, such as a weak hind end or saddle fit issues causing compensation patterns as well. While addressing the root causes of compensation is crucial, stretching the shoulders and thoracic sling can improve range of motion and alleviate tension!

Plus, with the seasons changingโ€”ice to mud and unpredictable footingโ€”keep in mind many horses are slipping, sliding, and even doing accidental โ€˜splitsโ€™ out in the pasture. These sudden movements can leave them feeling stiff and sore, especially through the shoulders and pectorals.

By guiding the leg forward, back, and outward, you can encourage relaxation and mobility in key muscle groups.

A few things to remember:
โœ… Move slowly & gentlyโ€”never force it!
โœ… Stretch both sides for balance.
โœ… Add these to your warm-up & cool-down routine!

Swipe through to learn the steps โžก๏ธ

And hey, if you give these a whirl with your horse, Iโ€™d love to hear how it went!
