Fun was had by all at the annual JGS Lifecare Variety Show! Our residents and staff took to the stage and showcased their talents to a full house. It was an afternoon filled with laughter, music, and community—one of our favorite traditions of the year.

We’re proud to share that members of the JGS Lifecare team — along with their families and hundreds of passionate community supporters — came together for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Massachusetts/New Hampshire. By walking, fundraising and showing up with heart, we helped move the needle on Alzheimer’s care, support and research in our region.

Because of your efforts — every step, every donation, every share of your story — we are helping advance a future where dementia no longer defines our loved ones. Thank you to everyone who laced up, gave, and walked in honor of those living with Alzheimer’s or remembering someone they lost.

Here’s to our community — strong, caring and committed to making a difference together.

Sweet Caroline! Residents of the Leavitt Family Jewish Home were treated to an afternoon of classic hits as a Neil Diamond impersonator took the stage. Smiles, singing, and a whole lot of fun filled the room. What a memorable performance!

Pampering the Professional – An Evening of Appreciation

You work hard every day to support our residents, patients, and clients—and we couldn’t do it without you. Join us as we take a moment to celebrate you at our annual “Pampering the Professional” event.

Enjoy an evening designed to help you relax, unwind, and recharge, featuring chair massages, angel card readings, reiki sessions, raffles, champagne, wine, chocolate treats, and local retail vendors.

The event will take place on Monday, December 1st from 4:00–7:00 PM in the Gloth Auditorium at Leavitt Family Jewish Home.

DJ Johnny Rocket Takes the Stage!

Residents and families on the JGS Lifecare Campus were dancing to a different beat this week—thanks to one of their own!

Johnny Scalia, affectionately known as “Johnny Rocket,” is a beloved resident of Ruth’s House Assisted Living who turned his passion for music into pure joy for others. A talented DJ with infectious energy, Johnny shared his musical mixing skills with residents and families proving that age is just a number when it comes to living life to the fullest!

Johnny has called Ruth’s House home for the past five years and credits the supportive, engaging environment for helping him thrive. “I’m living my best life here,” he says with a smile. “The music keeps me going and I love making people happy.”

This special event was a true celebration of connection, creativity, and the vibrant spirit of our residents who continue to inspire us every day.

106 Years Young!

Our incredible Leavitt Family Jewish Home resident took an unforgettable ride with the Western Mass Wheelers — on an e-bike! She came back beaming and said it was “AMAZING!!!”

Moments like these remind us that age is just a number when it comes to adventure, joy, and living life to the fullest!

The memory care residents at Ruth’s House Assisted Living spent time today creating balloon pumpkins together — a fun, hands-on activity that brought out everyone’s creativity! They loved learning each step of the process and watching their festive art come to life.

This week, we hosted our Fall Foliage Bus Ride and Happy Hour at Ruth's House Assisted Living. Residents enjoyed a scenic trip to Wilbraham and back, sipping hot cocoa while admiring the vibrant autumn colors and watching the leaves gently drift through the crisp fall air.
