MaterniTape™ was envisioned by Dr. Christine Illman DC, a mother of three who specializes in prenatal and postpartum care. While utilizing kinesiology tape in her practice, she realized that basic kinesiology tape did not fill her needs, or her patient’s needs. That's when MaterniTape was conceived and 9 months later MaterniTape’s first products were born. Our mission is to combine medical expertise and superior quality products to alleviate the aches and pains of pregnancy. Meet Dr. Illman
Dr. Christine Illman runs a busy chiropractic practice with her husband and MaterniTape co-founder, Dr. Drew Illman, in Longmont, Colorado. In 2009 she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States, an accredited institution considered a leader in evidence-based medicine. She specializes in caring for pregnant and postpartum women suffering from pain and pelvic dysfunction associated with pregnancy and birth. Dr. Illman is forever seeking new ways to relieve the pains associated with pregnancy and provide her patients with tools to enjoy their journey towards motherhood. With this goal in mind she started experimenting with different kinesiology taping patterns and natural ingredients to help prevent stretch marks, which lead to the birth of MaterniTape.
