WHAT IS REIKI? Are you looking for a type of touch therapy/body-energywork that is gentle yet profound, that can assist your healing, not only of the physical, but of the mental, emotional and spiritual? That feels so good to receive, and leaves you far better for having received it? If so, you have come to the right place! Reiki, or Rei and Ki, loosely translated, means "universal life force energy." It is a method of energy transmission by the laying on of hands in a systematic set of hand positions that address both the front and back sides of the body. Reiki is done fully clothed, and usually on a massage table, altho, truly, it can be accomplished anywhere, including on a chair, or with a person reclining on a bed or couch, and even remotely.

There is a lot that can be said about Reiki, suffice to say, you can easily look it up on the Net, and there are many books written about this gentle yet amazing healing art that was [re] discovered a century ago, in Japan, by an accomplished Buddhist priest, monk, and scholar, Mikao Usui. Usui, who had earnestly studied a variety of healing systems, received a most extraordinary spiritual awakening and “download” while fasting, meditating and praying for 21 days on Japan’s Mt. Kurama, where ancient Sanskrit symbols spontaneously appeared to him. His visionary experience on the mountain allowed him to develop a new system of healing now known as Usui Reiki. MY BACKGROUND I have a background and university degree in music and voice performance, but my mind and heart have always (at least since my thirties, and even my mid-late teens), also been passionately involved with spirituality, metaphysics, the alternative healing arts, mystical experiences, and the unseen realms. I received my first Reiki initiation in the early 1980s; hardly a day has gone by since then that I have not drawn on the Reiki energy. Grace, my higher self, and Reiki have led and guided me to a fascinating life (albeit not devoid of challenge) as an energy and breath worker, a vocal performer, a spiritual traveler, a holistic voice instructor, a perpetual student of healing, spirituality and metaphysics, and a photographer of spiritually oriented subjects (including crop circles and sacred sites!). I am a Reiki III (Master Level) of Usui Reiki; I also have a B. Music degree in voice performance from CU Boulder, and have sung and performed my entire life. I now practice Reiki and “holistic voice” as well as conduct breathwork sessions at my SW Longmont home. I believe my singing and everything else is informed by the Reiki energy; likewise, I am certain that my voice teaching is informed by my background in breathwork, and by my spiritual path. I love being able to contribute these gifts to the lives of those who come to me for sessions! My Reiki practice utilizes, in addition to the Reiki laying on of healing energy hands, spiritual counseling / dialogue / coaching where necessary, and even the use of the Tarot / angel / other oracle cards as well as other tools, where called for, as well as astrological considerations (altho I am not a professional clairvoyant / reader, or a professional astrologer, nor am I a licensed medical practitioner!). I may use, in addition to my Reiki knowledge and hands, other energy tools, including LED lights, and EFT/Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique), kinesiology, chakra balancing, as well as breath instruction, sacred sound / toning, and meditative / visionary music in assisting you with your healing intentions and goals. All of the above is supported and uplifted by the Reiki energy for healing of body, mind, emotion and spirit. REIKI SESSIONS - DESCRIPTION & RATES Preferred Payment Methods - cash, check, PayPal, please inquire, cost may be slightly more if bank fees are necessary. Standard Session Rate - this is a "one of" Reiki session for people wishing to come "ala carte." It is a 70 minute "door to door" appointment, and costs $70. (This means, specifically, from the moment you step inside my home to the moment you leave, you can count on it being close to an hour and ten minutes.) For Reiki "Beginners" - If you have not experienced Reiki before, it is good to schedule, in a short span of time, a handful of (five or six) Reiki sessions, before pulling the frequency back to a "maintenance" schedule, and also very much depending on your need and situation. For these sessions, which are an hour long, door to door, and which are part of a series of initial sessions, I charge $60/session. With this in mind..... Reiki Beginner's Package - If you would like to pay up front by cash or check for five, sixty minute sessions, and which must be done within three weeks' time, I offer a 10% discount. Cost - $270. Please mention this package to me when contacting me for your first session. If You Have Experienced Reiki - are a practitioner, yourself, or are someone on a conscious path, which includes meditation and / or some type of spiritual "deep dive" and / or therapeutically-oriented path, your experience of Reiki may be somewhat different from someone coming to Reiki for the first time, with little background in the healing arts. You and we will better know, after one or two sessions, what kind of frequency and length of session you may desire or need. I suggest you come initially for the Standard ("ala carte") Reiki Session (70 minutes/$70) and then we can decide what would be the appropriate followup/s. Subsequent sessions could mean coming for as brief a session as 45 minutes for $50 up to the 70 minute session for $70. AND..... If you would like a "bells and whistles" Reiki session (really, I mean literally!) my session cost for an approximate 90 minutes-plus session, door to door, utilizing sacred sound (my voice + Tibetan bells or other), with the option of a brief angel or other card reading, is $99.
