Your body is the report card of your brain.

Our workshop tonight is full and waitlisted but here’s the big just of what we’re going to talk about (and how to fix):

The brain’s #1 job isn’t thinking. It’s regulating.

And when it fails at that job — when it gets stuck in survival mode — your sympathetic nervous system never turns off.

Fight or flight was designed for a sprint. Not a marathon.

When the alarm never stops ringing:
→ Digestion shuts down
→ Immune function drops
→ Inflammation becomes chronic
→ Sleep collapses
→ Hormones dysregulate

And here’s what medicine rarely tells you — 90% of all chronic disease traces back to a nervous system that never got the signal that it was safe.

The body isn’t broken. It’s reporting exactly what the brain is doing.

The question isn’t what’s wrong with you — it’s what happened to your nervous system?
💬 Drop a ❤️ if this hits home.

I’ll be honest — every time I open Instagram, I feel it.
The overwhelm. The comparison. The scroll into what-is-wrong-with-the-world. I know that’s not weakness. That’s biology. That’s how this thing is built.
But here’s what I keep coming back to: this is also a network. A real one. A quantum entanglement of human beings who are all, underneath everything, just trying to figure it out.
So I’m choosing to show up.
I grew up in a really hard home. Alcoholism, abuse, chaos. I was essentially on my own at 14. I found my way into self-medicating early — and thankfully, just as quickly, into recovery. I got clean and sober at 16, started meditating, and not long after was driving around the state of Vermont sharing my story at high schools, trying to love on people and lift them up.
I was terrified every single time.
My mentor Michael would look at me before I’d speak and say: “Just get on your knees and ask God to give you the words to help one person.”
That’s still my only strategy. With every client. With this workshop tomorrow night. With every post I make here.
I’m not here to perform. I’m here because if I can reach one person — actually reach them — that’s everything.
Less posturing. More tenderness. Transparency with a backbone of a wide open heart.
That’s the world I want to help build. One person at a time. 🤍

Throughout history, the greatest rebirths — the Renaissance, evolutionary leaps, cultural awakenings — emerged through chaos, not around it.
Chaos theory shows us that out of disorder, new order always wants to emerge. Scientists and systems thinkers call this syntropy — the moment a system becomes coherent enough to reorganize into something far greater than it ever was, beyond any property it previously contained.
I believe that’s where we are right now. Personally. Collectively. Historically.
And the path through isn’t escape. It’s:
✦ Connect — deeply, truly, vulnerably
✦ Love — yourself, your shadow, all of who you are
✦ Grow — stretch into a new stage of wisdom and maturity
✦ Give — contribute to something beyond yourself
This is syntropy. This is emergence. This is evolution.
And here’s the miracle: your nervous system is literally built for this. When it’s coherent enough, it converts stress into growth — that’s hormesis. That’s your biological and spiritual superpower as a human being.
Tomorrow night I’m hosting a live workshop where we go deep into all of this — plus live demos of how I work with people to help their nervous systems find their own syntropic vector. Whether you’re navigating personal health, trauma, or just the weight of this moment in history — this is for you.

🧠 What if the anxiety, the gut issues, the chronic patterns you can’t shake… didn’t actually start with you?

I just posted a video breaking down one of the most profound sessions I’ve had — a case study in how intergenerational trauma lives in the nervous system, brain, and body.

Her temporal lobe (home of the hippocampus and amygdala) was holding a deep unresolved conflict. The organ that needed support? The lower descending colon. Through German New Medicine and functional neurology, this is a traceable map. The brain holds the conflict. The body keeps the score.

What made this extraordinary: the pattern didn’t begin in her lifetime. It was a miasm — what homeopathy founder Samuel Hahnemann described as a suppression pattern carried from unresolved generational trauma. Not woo-woo. Researched. Real.

This is the same territory explored by:
📖 Mark Wolynn in It Didn’t Start With You
🧬 Bruce Lipton in Biology of Belief
📚 Bessel van der Kolk in The Body Keeps the Score
🌀 Rupert Sheldrake’s morphic field research

We made nearly 100% progress on chronic digestive issues — not by treating the gut directly, but by clearing the conflict generating it from a completely different door.

This is the work. Rewiring the nervous system. Releasing what we’ve inherited. Being fully here. 🙏

⚡ We go deep into ALL of this at the April 22nd workshop — live demonstrations included. Link in bio to register.

Your nervous system is the prism through which all of who you truly are gets expressed in this world. ✨⚡

And here’s what I know to be true — we are infinite, eternal beings. We absolutely transcend our bodies. But the quality of that transmission — how fully you come through — depends entirely on the health of your nervous system.

When your nervous system is thriving, everything thrives. Your heart. Your hormones. Your digestion. Your immune system — balanced, not too weak, not overreacting. Your body’s ability to detoxify. Your capacity to feel energized rather than depleted. This is not metaphor. This is physiology.

And here’s the part that most people miss: every single tool you use to better yourself — the diet, the exercise, the breathwork, the meditation, the shadow work — only works as well as your nervous system works. Otherwise, you’re painting over rust. 🎨

But when your nervous system is healthy? That’s where the magic of hormesis lives — that extraordinary ability to take stress and convert it into strength, growth, and resilience. To feel physiologically younger than your chronological age. To think clearly, move freely, and show up fully.

That’s the convergence of science and spirit. A coherent biology that reflects an infinite soul. 🌿

Come to the workshop. We’ll teach this simply — 20 to 30 minutes — then drop into live demos so you can see it working in real time. You’ll leave with powerful tools, and the opportunity to get your brain scanned and nervous system deeply analyzed at no cost (a $360 value).

But come for the community too. We are biologically wired for connection and coherence — and that may be our deepest spiritual calling. These times need us together.

Bring your friends. Let’s come together and feel alright 🙏🎵

The algorithm wants you reactive. 🧠⚡
Fearful. Scrolling. Separate.
And right now — with everything happening in the world — it’s working on most people.
But here’s what 23 years of clinical work has taught me:
You are not your stress response. You are not your anxiety. You are not the breaking news cycle running on a loop in your nervous system.
You are a living energy matrix with the voltage of a lightning bolt — designed not just to survive these times, but to thrive in them.
The difference between someone who is crushed by this moment in history and someone who rises through it isn’t willpower. It isn’t positive thinking.
It’s the nervous system.
When it’s dysregulated — you’re reactive. Animalistic. Running on cortisol and fear. Your cells are in defense, not growth. You can’t heal, you can’t love well, you can’t think clearly, and you can’t become who you’re meant to be.
When it’s coherent — everything changes.
That’s what April 22nd is about.

🔥 LIFT A TON | LIFT EACH OTHER 🔥
(Reflections from Uplift Boulder + upcoming 11/22 fundraiser)

This weekend’s Lift-a-Ton Fundraiser at Uplift Boulder was… honestly, magic.
Not the mystical kind—
the real kind.
The kind born from a wildly diverse community of people choosing to show up, push limits, sweat together, and cheer each other on like family.

In a world that feels increasingly polarized and disconnected, this kind of togetherness is medicine. No posturing. No peacocking Just real humans, giving 100%, seeing each other, and remembering what it feels like to belong.

One thing I love about lifting weights:
you can’t fake it.
Every rep is the sum total of your choices, your discipline, your rest, your courage, your character.
No peacocking. No pretending. The bar tells the truth—and somehow, that truth feels freeing.

And at Uplift?
I’ve never experienced a more genuine, encouraging, radically inclusive training environment.
All ages, all shapes, all abilities—ALL celebrated.
The membership requirement is simple:
Show up. Give your best. Bring a generous heart.

For me personally, I hit all my goals—but the highlight was my son Michael behind me, screaming and cheering me through my final lifts.
That moment…I’ll remember it forever.
I want to be someone who inspires him not through words, but through how I live. Through effort. Through courage. Through wholeheartedness.

Life moves quickly.
We’re here, and then we’re gone.

So:
Give 100%.
Be radically yourself.
Be kind.
Say yes to the fires that refine you.
Face what scares you.
Find your people—because most friends come and go, but a few will walk with you through storms and sunshine alike.
And family…family is the most beautiful, sacred, messy, transformative gift of all. Don’t miss a beat of it.

So that’s the wisdom born from lifting a ton.
It’s not about the weight—it’s about who we become in the process.

🕊️ ONE FAMILY RISING: Two Fundraisers to Uplift Jamaica 🇯🇲

Even if your feed has gone quiet, the need in Jamaica has not.
Families still lack food. Children still need drinkable water. Roads are impassable, roofs are gone, and the basic infrastructure that sustains life is still being rebuilt.

Before reconstruction can begin, people simply need to make it through today.

When we come together — in body, heart, and spirit — we become more than donors. We become sacred activists. Every act of generosity, every shared breath in community, sends out a non-local, grace-filled ripple that uplifts lives we may never meet.

Like the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is mended with gold, may we become the gold that binds what’s been broken — with compassion, music, and love.

Ten years ago I could barely stand without pain. This week, I lifted 370 pounds.

I haven’t posted in a while. Honestly, I just haven’t wanted to be on Instagram. But this video means a lot to me.

For some people 370 lbs is a warm-up. For me, it’s something I never thought was possible. And yes—I lifted it in blue jeans. Apparently midlife reclamation looks a lot like denim, chalk, and gratitude. Shoutout to .nyc for keeping it real.

If you swipe to the next photo, that was me about ten years ago—125 pounds, hardly sleeping for 18 months from mind-breaking chronic pain. Going from that to this moment feels like a miracle.

My coach has been amazing as I prep for the Lift a Ton fundraiser at . It’s not a competition, it’s a celebration. Proof that we’re more resilient than we think.

A very bad ortho surgeon once told me I’d need spinal surgery. He was wrong. I’ve never felt better.

Foundation Training with and my friend .withkate helped me move again. One of my mentors (and a chronic pain psychologist I worked with), , author of The Great Pain Deception, gave me the courage to trust my body again.

The power of healing the trauma we carry in our hearts and minds has been indispensable in recovering from pain.

And the power of moving through pain—to literally rewire the brain and reassemble our neurons out of pain habits—has changed my life.

Having to unlearn much of what I was taught as a chiropractor—and re-engineer my own body and brain—was a journey that was so hard, so identity-shattering… and yet, it’s the best thing that ever happened to me.

Lifting has strengthened not just my body, but my mind and faith in what’s possible.

If you’re struggling, don’t give up. Keep going. Another chapter is waiting for you.

“Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense.”
— Winston Churchill,

💔 The Forgotten Ones 💔
There are people all around us who have been forgotten.
The migrants. The aging. Those with no one. Those who’ve lost much in life. Those whose hearts break from trauma. And sometimes… the forgotten parts inside ourselves.

When we come to social media, mostly we see the candy wrapper of people’s lives they want you to see. At best, it’s helpful or inspiring.

Depth is found in authenticity, genuineness, and compassion.

At 4am this morning in the airport, I saw the janitorial staff working quietly, unnoticed. I don’t know their stories, but I silently whispered a prayer for each one:
“God, please bless this person. Guide them.”

Something happens when we look with love—
We remember.
We reconnect.
We come home to ourselves and to one another.

This is the real wealth.
This is what matters.

Keep an eye out for the forgotten ones.
That one silent act of love might just change a life

Anonymous acts of kindness

Maybe even your own.

St. Kitts & Nevis 🇰🇳✨
A journey that changed everything… and nothing all at once.

Last year, we traveled as a family to St. Kitts and Nevis. On the surface, it looked like a dream come true: the chance to live in the Caribbean, raise our kids in a more natural environment, and do the healing work I love in a world-class clinic.

And it was beautiful.
But it also wasn’t simple.

What you don’t see in the highlight photos are the deeper realities — the emotional tension, the complexity of raising a family abroad, and the inner reckoning with the truth that the dream and the reality don’t always match.

The systems, the politics, and the backdrop — while set in a different landscape — aren’t all that different from what we face here in the U.S. We live in a time when it’s hard to find a place to “run to.” Global instability, systemic breakdowns, and a massive shift in consciousness are sweeping across the world.

Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is trust that right where we are is where we’re meant to be.

Of course, had a few circumstances been different, maybe we would have stayed. But when you slow down enough to really listen — to the signs, the symbols, the whispers of life — you begin to realize:
Your intuition knows.
Your soul knows.

Trusting that inner voice is hard. It takes self-esteem, yes — but also soul-esteem. A belief not just in yourself, but in something far greater than yourself… and the wisdom to know the two are deeply connected.

That’s what St. Kitts & Nevis gave me:
A return to the big picture.
Interior growth. Silence. Relationships.
A deeper listening.

Ironically — that meant not living there.

But I miss it every day.
And I know we’ll be back.

If you ever go, be sure to connect with my friend Dr. Miranda Fellows — and let the island speak to you.
