Restorative Nutrition Therapy

Restorative Nutrition Therapy Helping the body heal itself thru non-invasive muscle testing, quality supplements and diet recommendations. My name is Susan Hofland.

I am certified Nutrition Response Practitioner and Licensed Practical Nurse. I also use a non-invasive technique called Nutrition Response Testing that allows me to zero in on exactly what organs in the body aren’t functioning to capacity; which can then lead to symptoms and possibly disease processes. The technique also tells me exactly what nutrients the body wants in order to handle the problem

and heal it self. It gets incredible results on all kind of conditions. It’s not about suppressing symptoms with drugs or surgery. It’s about seeing what actually is going on and then using completely natural products to get the body to fix itself. I love what I do, which is helping people get well!

As we gather around tables filled with warmth, love, and connection this Thanksgiving, we want to take a moment to celebrate more than just the food on our plates – we're celebrating the incredible journey of healing and nourishment we're all on together.

This holiday is a beautiful reminder that nutrition isn't just about what we eat, but how we eat, why we eat, and the profound connections we create through food.

We will be back in the office on Monday, December 2nd.

We are grateful for each and every one of you.

As you begin or finish up your holiday grocery shopping here is one of our favorite gut healthy side dishes for your feast.

Quinoa Stuffed Acorn Squash:
- Cut acorn squash in half and scoop out the seeds.
- Brush the inside with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Roast the squash halves in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 30-40 minutes until tender.
- Meanwhile, cook quinoa according to package instructions and set aside.
- In a pan, sauté onions, garlic, and your choice of vegetables.
- Combine the cooked quinoa with the sautéed vegetables and fill the roasted acorn squash halves.
- Return to the oven for 10 minutes until heated through.

Do you have any gut-healthy sides you make for Thanksgiving?

Did you know that your gut affects your mood and energy?

Gut bacteria produce about 90% of your serotonin, which means that improving your gut health can naturally lead to a more stable and better mood.

If you struggle with anxiety, depression, or moodiness, addressing any gut imbalance is essential.

Did You Have a Halloween Sugar Slip? Don't Spook Yourself!

Let's have a real talk about Halloween treats. Did you wake up this weekend feeling the effects of those "just this once" candy indulgences?

Whether it was a few fun-size bars or the whole trick-or-treat basket over the weekend or recently here's what matters now:
🧡 First, show yourself some grace! One day of treats doesn't undo your healing journey.

✨ Ready to bounce back? Here's your post-Halloween recovery plan:

Start your day with plenty of water
Focus on nutrient-rich whole foods
Get some gentle movement
Consider digestive-supporting herbs
Return to your regular healing protocol

Remember: Healing isn't about perfection - it's about progress! If you're feeling the effects of sugar overload (fatigue, bloating, brain fog), let's work together to get you back on track.
Need extra support or guidance? I'm here to help, not judge!

Women generally detoxify more slowly than men due to lower levels of detoxifying enzymes, higher body fat, and hormonal fluctuations.

These factors slow the clearance of toxins and drugs, especially those processed by the liver and kidneys. This can lead to a buildup of fat-stored toxins, increasing the potential for toxic overload over time.*
While this is true, the body is resilient and adaptable.

The good news is that women can optimize their drainage and detox pathways with simple solutions, such as supporting their drainage, boosting mitochondrial and cellular health, and nourishing the liver and other detox organs.

If you feel like your body could use a little detox, it’s time to book an appointment with Susan https://restorativenutritiontherapy.com/contact-us/
