We love having Singalong Karaoke perform for us at our monthly birthday parties. Norelle did a fantastic job engaging our residents with her beautiful voice. To top off the afternoon, we enjoyed some chantilly cake and caprese appetizers—the cherry tomatoes and basil came from our garden. Nothing beats homegrown veggies and herbs!

A-L-O-O-O-H-A!!! Our summer Luau turned out to be a tropical success! Mai tais, Blue Hawaiian punch, Huli Huli chicken, Hawaiian fish tacos, Spam fried rice, and Piña colada cake -- what wouldn't we do for our residents' and their families' enjoyment? And to top it off, the hula performers from Tehani's Hula Colorado did a fantastic job! They took us around the world, sharing the various Polynesian cultures from the islands of Hawaii, Samoa, and Tahiti. Mahalo to all who made this luau a splashing hit!

Our courtyard garden is flourishing beautifully! We've already harvested some mint, basil, cherry tomatoes and slicers. We are also enjoying the colorful flowers and accompanying greenery. Thank you to all the staff and residents who have helped this garden become bountiful!

On National Homeless Animal Day, we visited the Longmont Humane Society. Our hearts were happy to see them but also sad we couldn't adopt them all. They would love to be matched with a forever home... perhaps we can consider a companion for our community?
