Motor vehicle crashes remain one of the leading causes of injury and death in Colorado, with more than 300 lives lost and nearly 2,500 hospitalizations each year.

Not all distractions are the same, but they’re all dangerous:
• Visual Distraction: Eyes off the road
• Manual Distraction: Hands off the wheel
• Cognitive Distraction: Mind off driving

This Distracted Driving Awareness Month, understanding these risks is the first step toward safer driving. Through the Choose S.A.F.E. program, CommonSpirit Health provides education and resources for teens, families, and schools across Colorado to help reduce crashes and save lives.

Early detection can make all the difference in the fight against colorectal cancer. Screening saves lives and when detected early, treatment is often more effective with better outcomes.

Colorectal cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the U.S., but it’s also one of the most preventable. Knowing the symptoms and staying on top of routine screenings, like colonoscopies, is important.
