Build the Hospital of Our Future

The Longmont United Hospital Foundation is dedicated exclusively to supporting healthcare services at Longmont United Hospital through philanthropy. One of the primary goals of the Foundation is to help ensure that Longmont United Hospital will have the best possible facilities and equipment to help you and your loved ones when medical care is needed. Your tax deductible gifts help us achieve this important mission. Naming opportunities are available in many areas throughout the hospital including the emergency department which serves over 45,000 patients each year. Within the Emergency Department, CAT scan, Digital Radiology, and a laboratory reside which will speed the process of diagnosing your health concern. A two-suite cardiac catheterization lab is accessible for diagnosis and intervention 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day from the LUH Foundation! 🍀
Lots of staff were dressed in green today, but here’s Eileen Newman fully in spirit. Eileen is a volunteer here at the hospital and even used to be one of our Caring Clowns!
Special thanks to our volunteer department. Ann Huggins, coordinator of the volunteer program, says, “Volunteers make the world go round,” and we couldn’t agree more! Don’t forget volunteers run our gift shop. Stop in as things are always being added!

On February 12, the LUH Foundation teamed up with Longmont’s Küper Wine Bar for a special evening called Vine Voyage- an exclusive gathering for our wonderful VIPs and donors right here at Longmont United Hospital.
It was the perfect way to inspire our community: sharing powerful stories of the compassionate care our foundation and incredible hospital team provide every day, all while savoring outstanding wines, strolling through a beautiful art walk featuring unique local pieces, and enjoying meaningful connections with great company!
We were honored to hear heartfelt insights from Dr. David Donahue, Foundation Executive Director Josh Atherton, LUH Hospital President Deb Mohesky, and dedicated LUH Nurse Carol Anne White.
Warmest thanks to Stephanie Blakley and Laura Faccone for making the night even more special with their incredible custom art pieces, created just for the event!

⭐️ Artist Highlight ⭐️
Artwork by Erin Joy Parrot is currently hanging in our ArtWalkway for another month and available for purchase! You’ll see Erin’s work in two locations down the ArtWalk with both originals and framed prints showcased!
Erin’s artwork “is inspired by ecosystem science and traditional botanical illustration. Her work prioritizes biological accuracy in form and concept, combining species that would exist in the same ecosystem often in reaction to one another. Her illustration is a celebration of nature, and a gentle reminder that in order to protect the natural world, be must be struck by its wonder and inspired by its beauty.”

⭐️ Artist Highlight ⭐️
Ceramics by Emily Mariani are currently both hanging in our ArtWalkway as well as filling our display cases!
Emily says: “My pottery is inspired by places, relationships and textures in the world around me. I enjoy interpreting my experiences into clay forms and accessorizing with glaze, slip, stamps or carvings. Repeating patterns or marks emphasize the grounding nature of handmade stoneware pieces; asymmetrical or organic shapes bring whimsy and lightness. I often leave sections of my work unglazed, or feature glaze only in recessed area. This creates a beautiful contrast between glossy, glazed surfaces and textured, earth toned clay.”

Come visit the ArtWalkway and see Emily’s pieces & more in person! Her work includes wall hangings, wall pockets, altars, vases, bowls, mugs, & clay animals!

New permanent artwork in the Surgery Waiting Room! This was made possible by LUH Foundation funding alongside employee giving! Welcome Tanya Pawelski’s photography prints to the walls! Tanya has been an employee here Longmont United Hospital for almost 33 years! Earlier this year we were able to renovate and revamp this waiting room. Shout out to the very generous employee, who would like to remain anonymous, who donated funds for that project. Today, we are so happy to be able to add more beautiful artwork to these walls! 🩵
