Panama is a place where nature speaks to you constantly. A dragonfly, a hummingbird, a rainstorm. Meanings are clear, communication is easy. Last night I dreamed of hundreds and hundreds of whales out there in the deep part of the Pacific. I wake up this morning and say thank you whales for visiting me. Thank you. Then I write 12 words about them, then 6 words, then 3, then 1. My word is heart.
