Meet our Medical Director Dr. Haleh Nekoorad-Long, M.D.
Dr. Haleh Nekoorad-Long is the Medical Director at AltaVita Senior Residences in Longmont, CO. As a board-certified Geriatric Psychiatrist, she is deeply committed to supporting the unique mental health needs of older adults, specializing in dementia, depression, and bipolar disorder.
Dr. Nekoorad-Long takes pride in working closely with residents, families, and caregivers to ensure that every individual receives compassionate, personalized care. Her approach combines clinical expertise with empathy, emphasizing clear communication and collaboration in every aspect of care planning.
She is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. and serves as a board member of the American Board of Medical Specialties. Dr. Nekoorad-Long is also an active member of the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatrists, the American Psychiatric Association, the Colorado Psychiatric Association, and the Boulder County Medical Society.
