I’m officially announcing that I’ll be closing my private practice in Longmont at the end of January 2026 and starting a new role as Clinical Manager at the Colorado Women’s Center in Boulder in February. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to the practice I’ve built over the last 15 years, but this new position will let me keep offering therapy services while also mentoring and supporting other clinicians in their growth. I am both excited and apprehensive about making such a significant change at this stage in my career, but I am always ready to embrace a new challenge.🦋

Science says there is no causal relationship between SSRI's and mass shootings. This misinformation is dangerous. Please read.

“All the data suggest SSRIs are not the problem,” Girgis, a professor of clinical psychiatry at the Columbia University Department of Psychiatry and New York State Psychiatric Institute.
His research shows other commonalities between mass shooters, however. They are three fold: 1) a “great fascination” or affinity for fire arms 2) severe nihilism “which taken to the extreme form results in suicide” and 3) a desire for fame.

Sen. Tina Smith (D-Minnesota) accused Kennedy of using the tragedy to spread disinformation to push a political agenda. “I dare you to go to Annunciation School and tell our grieving community that, in effect, guns don’t kill kids, antidepressants do,” she wrote on X. “Just shut up. Stop peddling bulls--t.”

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suggested that psychiatric drugs may have played a role in the Minnesota Catholic school shooting — a statement widely criticized as unsupported by science.
