Gut feelings might be far more mysterious — and far more powerful — than we ever imagined. Some researchers now propose that intuition may actually be a form of future memory, suggesting that human consciousness could operate outside the normal flow of time. Scientists Julia Mossbridge and Dean Radin have studied this through precognition research, where people appear to sense future events before they occur.
In controlled lab experiments, including EEG brain scans, participants showed measurable spikes in neural activity seconds before they were shown disturbing images — long before their conscious mind knew anything was coming. These results challenge the idea that time only moves forward and hint that the mind may experience reality in a more fluid, nonlinear way.
If true, our “gut feelings” may not be guesses at all — but glimpses of what’s ahead.
