5 Pathways Acupuncture

5 Pathways Acupuncture Classic Five-Element Acupuncture for achieving wellness through the natural path to healing. In this way acupuncture can help with a multitude of maladies.

Acupuncture works with the meridians of energy found in the body using that energy called Qi. The manifestation of illness stems from lack of balance in the body. Each session is an assessment of where the imbalance is occurring and the use of needles, moxa and cupping to help the body, mind, and spirit correct the imbalance. The beauty of this medicine is its simplicity.

Last year a new member joined the office…Black Betty…okay…she is the massage table. But hear me out. ⤵️

What is more important than the table you lay on to receive treatment?

She is a hydraulic table that can also tilt when laying flat is not an option. This is extremely helpful for pregnancy or vertigo.

There are many comfort items you may not consider ahead of time, but they really do make treatments more relaxing and enjoyable.

Ask me what I can do for you! (there's more!)

Better yet, make a recommendation on what might make your treatment more comfortable. Always looking for ways to enhance client services. 😊

Sarah introduces you to her little baby volcanos! 😁 aka Moxa Cones 😉

It's a unique scent that most ask about upon entering the office, so here's the answer! ⤵️

There are many ways to apply cups.

With the machine, there is nowhere that can’t be cupped.

From large areas of the body holding tension to the face, anywhere is possible.

A Vacuum Therapy Machine, also known as suction therapy or vacuotherapy, is a non-invasive device that uses suction to lift and massage the skin. This creates a vacuum, which can help to improve blood flow and circulation, stimulate lymphatic drainage, and loosen fibrous bands.

It's used in various applications, including pain relief and reducing inflammation.

What is Cupping? ⤵️

As ancient as acupuncture itself, cupping is great for reducing inflammation.

Applying a cup to tissue that is inflamed increases circulation, moves the lymph (the bodies system for taking out the trash), and removes stagnation.

The areas that show the most 'red' or 'purple' coloring after cupping, are the areas that needed it the most.

Cupping therapy uses gentle suction to ease muscle tension and promote circulation. Special cups create a therapeutic vacuum on the skin, helping to reduce pain, release tight muscles, and support your body’s natural healing process.

This treatment can be used alone or combined with acupuncture.

Moxibustion is the medicinal burning of plant material over the acupuncture point.

The plant Japanese mugwort is used to tonify and increase circulation before the point is needled. There are some points that only have moxibustion.

Moxa is a form of heat therapy used to address various ailments, particularly chronic conditions, by stimulating Qi flow (vital energy) through the body's meridians, which are pathways, and potentially reducing pain and inflammation.

Moxa stimulates acupuncture points and promote healing.

Classical Five-Element Acupuncture is based on the observations of nature.

The ancient Chinese developed their entire medical system based on these observations.

Looking to nature you can see when there is a water imbalance; too much water and there is flooding or too little and there is a drought.

In the natural order of things our body, mind and spirit are fully capable of healing.

Needles are used in acupuncture to affect the Qi in our bodies. The points are like energy hubs that help facilitate balance and communication through body, mind and spirit.

What I look for when we meet is where the imbalance is within.
