Hello IG friends! It's been forever since I've updated on here! I wanted to let you know that my awesome sister and I are publishing a children's book together! It's not about midwifery, but it does have a baby in it! Would you be interested in reading this to your littles? Let me know in the comments!

A beautiful, chubby baby boy was born at home on Tuesday, May 2nd, weighing 9 lb.11oz. All is well; mom is resting and soaking in the support of her family. Baby is already growing like a w**d. Big sisters couldn't be prouder. Home birth is happening all around us, all the time. Babies are being born safely under the watchful eyes of well-trained, smart, compassionate midwives. Home birth is a normal, viable, reasonable option.

This will be our last birth announcement for a little while. I will be taking a long trip with my own family, moving houses, and getting kids settled at new schools before taking new clients again. I may post some personal photos to document our adventures in Italy and Scotland.

But if I don't post any cute babies for a while, just know that those sweet little bundles are still being born - in apartments and mansions and trailers and cabins - every day. Please support your local midwifes to preserve the option to birth outside the hospital for those who choose it! Thank you.

This sweet baby girl is Stella Joy! Her name is perfect, because her birthday was joyful. In fact, her mom is one of the most joyful people I've met, and she celebrated and honored her pregnancy and birth, as the sacred and extraordinary thing that it was. Stella was born on 3/11/2021, weighing exactly 8 pounds. She was welcomed by a very happy big sister, and this lovely family of four is relishing every moment of their special postpartum time. Congratulations, friends!

So these incredible people had this amazing baby, everyone! She was born on January 21st, but the first two weeks were a whirlwind, and I'm just now getting around to sharing this joy with you all through the interwebs. You can see Banana is adjusted to having a baby sister now, and all is well. What a beautiful family, right?

Introducing Ameleah! We are still working on a middle name for this beauty who was born at 10:18 PM on January 18th, weighing in at 7 pounds 8 oz. She's so perfect and her parents and three older siblings are so proud. This mama was so amazing in labor, birthing her gorgeous baby just 20 minutes after the midwife arrived. Congratulation friends!

Cuteness alert!! This gorgeous baby is Maeve, and she was born on December 1st at 6:15 a.m. weighing 7 lb 12 oz! It was a long, hard labor, and her moms were both there; for eachother, for Maeve, and for every wave and every difficult decision. What a beautiful experience to see this couple digging deep and working hard, and then experiencing that triumphant moment when it all pays off. This little baby has been born into a home so full of love. Congratulations to three of the most excellent people I know!

Announcing the arrival of Copper Ainsley, born on November 22nd to the most wonderful family. This couple worked together with steadfastness and grit and openness to whatever the process might hold. And their patience, love and strength brought them this beautiful baby girl weighing 6 pounds 10 oz! She loves being held by both mommy and daddy and she's the most precious little thing. Congratulations friends! So proud of all of you.
