Rian Lyons Copeland "43"

Rian was known for her kind heart, her flamboyant personality and emense compassion. She was

a daughter, a great friend, and an amazing partner.

Even having a rough childhood, she still lived beyond compare and formed her own family. She

has loved and helped many, once again showing her beautiful heart. She was brilliant and enjoyed

her schooling, and was almost a year from graduating. She had a true thirst for knowledge and

was a charismatic conversationalist. Rian made everyone feel important and loved. She was

always warm and welcoming to anyone she met. She was always extremely loyal and protective

of those she loved. She worked for Vixen's Magical Apothecary as the Chief Technology Officer

attending to the website and addressing any technical issues. She also enjoyed making jewelry for

the business.

She is preceded in death by her mother and youngest brother. Left behind are the love of her

life, Chelsea Guthrie, her best friend, and brother Jeremy Robbins, and surrogate mother Joyce

Robbins.

There will be food, cake, music, and stories shared about Rian. There will also be a Rian Scented

Unicorn for those that want one final hug.

A special thanks to Donya Harrison and Tee Williams with Accent Care Personal Care Services for

their genuine care and compassion for us both.

Please do not send flowers. Rian had set up 2 charity drives on Facebook for her birthday. Please

Make donations to these charities in place of flowers.

Thank you to everyone that have shown their compassion during this time

Dennis L. Hutchings '75'

Dennis Lee Hutchings, age 75, passed away peacefully at his Austin home on February 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Dennis was born on October 1, 1950, in Longview, Texas, to Willie Mae Hanon and Y.D. Hutchings. He was raised alongside his siblings in Longview Texas and was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Carraway, and his brother, Bobby Hutchings. He is survived by his brothers, Y.D. Hutchings and Jimmy Hutchings.

A gifted athlete, Dennis was an exceptional track star in his youth, earning multiple medals and state honors. After graduating from Mary C. Womack High School in 1969, he proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he faithfully served his country for 21 years.

Dennis found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing and hunting with his sons, taking trips with his beloved wife, and, most of all, spending time with his grandchildren, who meant the world to him. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who would do anything for his family.

In 1971, Dennis married the love of his life, Fay Carpenter. They shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. Their story began when Fay moved across the street from his childhood home, and from that moment on, their lives were forever intertwined.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Fay Hutchings of Austin, Texas; his sons, Dennis Scott and Davin Hutchings of Austin, Texas, and Kelton Hutchings of Killeen, Texas; his ten grandchildren—Lorayne, Jaydon, Yominique, Kelton Jr., Tremont, Jammea, Alasia, Kalycia, Khamauri, and Kimauni; six great-grandchildren; his aunt, Bobbi Jean Robinson of Longview, Texas; along with four nephews, three nieces, and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.

Dennis will be remembered for his strength, courage, and unwavering love for his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Wesley Anton Davis '43'

A precious one from us is gone, a voice we loved is still. A

place is vacant in our hearts which can never be filled.

On May 26, 1982, Wesley Anton Davis entered this world in

Marshall, Texas.

He was blessed with 43 years of life before

being released from his pain on February 17, 2026, in

Longview, Texas.

Raised by faith, love, and respect at an early age, Wesley was

baptized at Concordia United Methodist Church. “Wes”

attended Marshall schools and graduated from Marshall High

School in 2002.

Throughout the years, Wesley worked various jobs, with his

final employment at Applebee’s in Longview, Texas. He formed

many friendships along the way and left lasting impressions on

coworkers and customers alike.

Wesley was preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel Sparks.

To cherish his memory, Wesley leaves behind his loving

mother, Sherry Davis; one brother, Chad Davis-Sparks; and

three sisters, Lesley Davis-Sparks, Angie Davis-Sparks, and

Terri Sparks. He also leaves his playful nephew, Reggie

Garrett; three nieces, Amaya, Layla, and Destiny, all of

Marshall, Texas; and two aunts, including Sherry Weisner of

Marshall, Texas, and Curlie Jackson of Houston, Texas. In

addition, he is remembered by other nieces and nephews, many

cousins, and a host of devoted friends who will forever hold

him close in their hearts.
