I’ve been seeing so many patients recently that have fallen into the trap of expensive hormone pellets. There are several “health spas” in our area that are claiming to be hormone experts and injecting these into everyone that walks in the door. I spend so much time explaining why they are not recommended and don’t have proven safety. Some patients become frustrated because they think I don’t want them to feel good. Trust me, I do! Which is why I follow evidence-based, science- backed recommendations when it comes to prescribing hormones. I want you to be on something that has proven safety and effectiveness! Why do the pellet clinics push these products? Because they are making big 💰 selling them!

Jen Gunter, MD is a hormone guru and this is a great article summing up the reasons why hormone pellets are not recommended by any of the medical societies!

If you are a patient of mine and would like to discuss hormone therapy, I would love to get you in to talk about the safe and effective methods to get you feeling better!

Diagnostic Clinic of Longview is NOT affected by this closure. We are not affiliated with Regional Clinics. Some confusion might be because we do have privileges and do take our patients to Longview Region Medical Center for deliveries, surgeries, and hospitalizations. We remain an independent clinic.
