Do you know what “sedentary” really means when it comes to daily steps? 🚶‍♂️❌
Most adults are considered sedentary if they get fewer than 5,000 steps per day.

A great goal to work toward is 7,000–10,000 steps daily—enough to boost energy, support heart health, and keep you moving strong. 💪✨

And if you’re wondering about the picture… yes, that step count is from one of our doctors after a full day at Disneyland. 🏰😂
(Safe to say that day wasn’t sedentary!)

Today would have been Dr Richard's beloved son and Dr Christie and Dr Scotty's beloved older brother, Dr Jim Kirkpatrick's 55th birthday. He passed away unexpectedly on New Years Day this year.

Jim was an exceptional cardiologist, researcher, father, and friend, among countless other roles. Not a day goes by that we don't think about and miss you dearly, Jim! ❤

If you haven't seen the memorial booklet written by Dr Richard on Jim's behalf, stop by the clinic and we'd be happy to get you a copy.

🌞 Keep an Eye on Your Moles!

Most moles are harmless—but some changes can be warning signs of skin cancer. Remember the ABCDEs of melanoma:
🔹 Asymmetry – one half looks different than the other
🔹 Border – irregular, blurred, or jagged edges
🔹 Color – uneven shades of brown, black, red, or white
🔹 Diameter – larger than a pencil eraser
🔹 Evolving – changes in size, shape, or color over time

If you notice any of these features or a mole that just looks “different,” it’s time to get it checked. Our providers can evaluate suspicious moles and remove them safely if needed.
