🎒✨ Back-to-school in style! 👗📚

Avir at Longview kicked off the school year with a heartwarming “Back to School Fashion Show” for our residents! One special highlight — one of the models was the granddaughter of our very own nurse. After the runway fun, students received school supplies generously donated by area Hospices and Home Health. The day was filled with smiles, hugs, and excitement for the year ahead!

This morning, our residents had a wonderful time singing along with Usher from Kindful Hospice! 🎤 His energy and talent filled the room with joy, and he even had a little extra help from Teola from HR, making the performance even more special.

Our “Back to School Old School” fashion show on Friday, August 8, was featured in the Longview News-Journal! From casual to sporty to Sunday best, children of our staff members strutted the red carpet as ‘90s music set the vibe. Each young model took home school supplies and lots of smiles — making it a day to remember for kids, families, and residents alike!

🍔🔥 Grilling With Gratitude!
Today, the staff at Avir at Longview proudly hosted our Grilling With Gratitude event to honor our amazing area first responders! Each guest enjoyed a delicious hamburger plate with a drink, and we were thrilled to hand out 60+ burgers as a small token of our appreciation for all they do for Longview. 🚓🚒🚑

A huge thank you to Travis from Avir at Pittsburgh and Blaise from Tyler for lending a hand, and a special shout-out to Fayet (Jessica, our admin’s dad!) for manning the grill like a pro. 🙌

We’re grateful for our heroes today and every day! 💛

Today was filled with creativity and smiles as our residents enjoyed a relaxing Sip-N-Paint session with Shelly from Kindful Hospice! Each resident painted their very own birdhouse masterpiece while sipping on refreshments and enjoying great company.
