Today at Avir at Longview, our residents celebrated National Oatmeal Cookie Day with a delicious treat and wonderful company.

A special thank you to Ms. Lisa from Marshall Home Health and Hospice for joining the celebration and helping make the day even sweeter.

Our residents enjoyed oatmeal cookies topped with warm apple pie filling, whipped cream, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. It was a comforting dessert that brought smiles, conversation, and a little extra joy to the afternoon.

💛 We proudly honored our 2026 Volunteers of the Year, the Praise Singers from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Hallsville, as voted by our resident council!

Our administrator, Ms. Onita Brown, expressed her gratitude and presented a special gift to our resident volunteer, Ms. Laura Phillips. Volunteers shared their stories, enjoyed accordion music by Mr. Jerry Froidl, and heard heartfelt words from Mr. Douglas Medlin about the impact they make every day.

A beautiful reminder of how much love and joy our volunteers bring to our community. ✨
