PSA from Scoobi: The Cone of Shame is NOT optional, folks.

This handsome gentleman came to East Texas Pet Emergency Clinic today after deciding his neuter stitches were more of a suggestion than a rule. Spoiler alert: They are very much a rule.

We know the Cone isn't exactly high fashion… unless you’re going for the “satellite dish chic” look. But trust us (and Scoobi), it’s cheaper, easier, and a lot less dramatic than a surprise ER visit because someone got curious about their surgery site.

So let Scoobi’s side-eye be a warning: Cone on = happy healing. Cone off = emergency detour.

🐶 Meet Winston, “The Bonehead” 🦴

Winston came into East Texas Pet Emergency thinking he’d found the chew of a lifetime, a circular bone that doubled as a stylish (and totally stuck) chin accessory. Unfortunately, his new jaw bracelet wasn’t exactly comfortable. 😬

After some good snuggles, a little sleepy juice and some careful maneuvering by our team, we removed the stubborn bone and sent Winston home… slightly embarrassed but feeling much better… with a couple days of pain meds and a firm “no more bones with holes” policy. 🙃

Winston, we love your enthusiasm for snacks, but maybe next time stick to the soft stuff. 🐾 Feel better soon buddy, and remember: chew wisely.

Rachel’s back. Tell a friend. 🎶 😅

That’s right, folks. Our girl Rachel has made yet another grand entrance into East Texas Pet Emergency. Why? Because she’s once again treated the world like an all-you-can-eat buffet. 🍽️💀

Remote controls? Delicious.
Avocado Pits? Gourmet.
Legos? Crunchy and satisfying.
Her owner’s last nerve? DEVOURING IT.

At this point, we’re thinking about naming the X-ray machine after her. She's basically a subscription service now. 📦🩻

Rachel, please… we beg you… STOP EATING THINGS. Your stomach is not a trash can, sweetheart. But hey… if you're gonna be a menace, at least you're a cute one.

🏆 Last night at East Texas Pet Emergency Clinic, we held the most prestigious awards Longview has ever seen. Forget the Oscars, this was the “Weird Flex But Okay” Awards honoring our staff and their very specific and OUTSTANDING contributions! 🏆

We handed out awards for things like:

🥇 Brains Without the Bull - For keeping the drama light and the IQ heavy.
🥇 The RX Whisperer - For schooling everyone on meds so well that even the pills listen up.
🥇 Anything with a Pulse Practitioner - For treating anything that comes in… dogs, cats, goats and probably a chupacabra once.

Sure, these awards were a little ridiculous, but the truth behind them isn’t: the unmatched skill and dedication of this entire team is what keeps this clinic running and saves lives! 🐶 🐱

Thank you to our entire team for showing up and stepping up every single day.

🐾 CASE FILE #2398: THE SWIPE OF JUSTICE? 🐾
Tonight, Crumpet arrived at East Texas Pet Emergency with a scratched eye and a whole lotta drama. The alleged assailant? Darwin. The family cat.

🕵️‍♂️ Motive? Possibly revenge.
🗣️ The owners said: "Crumpet might have deserved it. He does mess with Darwin a lot."

👀 Was this a calculated act of long-awaited vengeance?
😇 Or did Darwin just get tired of Crumpet’s nonsense?

We may never know. But what we do know is that Crumpet's eye is just fine, Darwin went back to bed unbothered, and peace talks are pending.

🌟 Meet Rocky 🌟
When you think “Texas Emergency Vet Clinic,” a kangaroo probably isn’t the first patient that hops to mind… but here we are! 🦘💙

Rocky came to us very sick yesterday, and our incredible team got straight to work. With a whole lot of care, we were able to get him stable and comfy enough to head to Texas A&M for more specialized treatment.

We're so thankful his family trusted us with this handsome boy. It’s not every day we treat a kangaroo, but every day we do show up ready to help, no matter how big the feet or how long the tail. 💪🐾

Hop strong, Rocky. You’ve got a whole team rooting for you. 💙

Clue: This phrase is often shouted by your dog just before eating an entire plate of hamburger helper, a sock, and your grandma’s hearing aid.

🛎️ What is... “Y’all, we’re going to the emergency vet!”

That’s right, East Texas! Whether your cat tried bull riding off the top of the fridge, or your hound dog thought a copperhead was a chew toy, we’ve seen it all, and we’re here nights and weekends to handle your pet’s “Watch this, I saw it on TikTok” moments.

📍 Located in Longview, we’re the overnight answer to, “Did she just eat a whole peach pit?”

🐾 Because in East Texas, the only thing faster than a squirrel in your backyard... is how fast your pet can find trouble.

🐶💁‍♀️ Miss Roxxy strutted into the clinic this morning like she owned the place, and honestly, we’re not arguing. This fabulous girl came in for a pesky ear infection, but you’d think she was just here for a spa day. 🛁✨

She gave us the “I demand cuddles AND ear drops” look, and we obeyed. How could we not? Look at that face. 😍

Roxxy is now back on the road to feeling her best, ears squeaky clean, tail wagging at full power, and sass levels fully restored. 💃🐾

🏈🐾 Celebrity Sighting at ETPEC! 🐾🏈

Look who stopped by! We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Savion Williams, East Texas native and newly drafted wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers, to the clinic, along with his awesome pup, Ace! 🐶💚💛

Savion may be making big moves on the field, but it’s clear he’s an MVP off the field too… especially when it comes to caring for his best friend.

We’re so proud to see one of our own representing East Texas on the national stage. Best of luck this season, Savion…. and Ace, you’re always welcome back for belly rubs! 🐕💚

We’ll be open 24 hours on the 4th, just in case:
🐶 Someone's dog gets into the Jello-O shots,
🐱 Your cat thinks the sky is declaring war,
🍗 Or Uncle Buck decides to "grill ribs real quick" with a blowtorch and a prayer.

💥 Fireworks and critters don’t mix... trust us, we’ve seen things.

So before your lab eats a glow stick and starts raving in the yard, remember:
