East Texas Pet Emergency Clinic is an emergency and critical care overnight animal hospital serving the pet owners of Longview, Texas and the surrounding area. Our veterinary and support personnel are on duty 7 days a week, fully trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet needs. If you’re a pet owner, you know your pets are a part of your family. And like any other family member, if they have a sudden medical emergency, you need to find qualified and competent care from an emergency service provider as quickly as possible.

🚨 Patient Spotlight: Otis Waffles 🚨

Otis Waffles came in tonight after a squeaker toy mysteriously disappeared under very suspicious circumstances.

We asked questions.
He gave us this face. ⬇️

No thoughts.
No remorse.
Just… crimes.

We took X-rays expecting to find the squeaker…
…and this man really said “you’ll never find the body.”

NOTHING.
No evidence.
No witnesses.

At this point we’re not even sure if Otis ate the toy or if he just knows what happened and is choosing silence.

He got some meds and was released back into the community where he will absolutely do this again.

We don’t have proof… but we have strong opinions.

She showed up to donate blood and help save another pet’s life. 💜

Not all busy days look the same.

Today may not have looked like one of our “packed parking lot” days, but every patient that came through our doors needed extra time, extra care, and extra attention.

To our incredible clients, thank you.
Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and your understanding. Your grace in the waiting room never goes unnoticed, and it truly allows us to focus on what matters most: providing the best possible care for your pets.

We move as quickly as we can, but never at the expense of patient care, and today was a perfect example of why that balance matters.

Phoebe said absolutely not. 💅🐾

Our Valentine’s Day queen came in with an ear injury after rejecting the romantic advances of the neighborhood cat. Boundaries were set. Feelings were hurt. Fur may have flown.

Phoebe is doing great, and still accepting applications for a Valentine who respects personal space.

While the rest of East Texas was sliding, slipping, and questioning their life choices in this ice, this man said “Nah, the ER crew needs pizza” and showed up anyway.

Hot pizza. Icy roads. Zero hesitation.
That’s hero behavior.

Our team is here taking care of pets, and y’all took care of us, and that matters more than you know. Thank you for braving the weather, the roads, and whatever playlist got you through it.

Our team had a blast at Paint Slingers in Longview yesterday! It’s amazing what a pair of goggles and a paint sprayer will do for morale.

We walked in clean, walked out looking like a group project gone wrong, and laughed the entire time.
Much-needed break with some of the best people. 💜
