Some places do more than hold memories—they reflect the care of those who tend them.

At Rosewood Park Cemetery, every detail—every blade of grass, every marker placed with respect—is a reflection of the dedication and compassion of our incredible team. Their quiet, faithful work ensures that this space remains a haven for remembrance, reflection, and legacy.

We’re deeply grateful for the staff who serve behind the scenes with such heart. If you haven’t visited lately, come walk the grounds—and feel the difference they make.

The holidays can feel incomplete when someone is missing. But there are small, meaningful ways to include their memory at your table:

🍽 Set a memory place. Leave a place setting for them — with a photo, candle, or handwritten note in their seat.

📷 Create a “memory menu.” Add a dish they loved and label it in their honor — “Grandpa’s cornbread” or “Mom’s chocolate pie.”

💬 Toast to them. Start dinner with a simple toast or moment of silence to acknowledge who’s not there — and how much they meant.

💌 Share a story card. Encourage each guest to bring a memory on paper. Read them aloud or place them in a memory jar.

🎁 Pass down a favorite. Whether it’s using their serving dish or wearing their holiday pin, physical reminders can warm the heart.

Remembering them together doesn’t make the grief go away — but it can bring comfort, laughter, and connection.

Sometimes the warmest memories come from the kitchen.

Whether it’s your grandmother’s homemade cornbread or the soup your dad made every fall, preparing a loved one’s favorite dish can be a powerful way to feel close to them again.

This Thanksgiving season, consider making a recipe that reminds you of someone you miss. Share it with your family, tell the story behind it, and let their memory live on through flavor, laughter, and a little flour on the counter.

What dish reminds you of someone you love?

REMEMBER. HONOR. TEACH.

On December 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM, Rosewood Park Cemetery will join communities across the nation in hosting Wreaths Across America. After the ceremony, volunteers will place remembrance wreaths to honor the lives and sacrifices of our veterans.

This is more than a wreath—it’s a moment to pause, say a veteran’s name aloud, and ensure their legacy is never forgotten.

You can help by sponsoring a wreath, volunteering, or simply inviting others to join in this powerful tradition.

Together, we can make sure no hero is ever forgotten.

The holidays can stir up a lot—especially when you're grieving. If the invitations, traditions, or to-do lists feel too heavy this year, it’s okay to say no.

Give yourself permission to:

+ Skip the party
+ Leave early
+ Take a quiet moment
+ Choose what feels right for you

Grief doesn’t follow a schedule. And healing doesn’t require performance. Take care of yourself this season, one choice at a time.

Grief is often pictured as a straight path forward—simple, steady, and easy to move through. The truth is, it’s anything but.

Grief can feel like a tangled web of emotions, ups and downs, and unexpected turns. Some days may feel lighter, others much heavier. And that’s okay. Healing doesn’t follow a timeline, and it doesn’t have to look “neat.”

If you’re walking through grief, know that you’re not alone. Give yourself grace, take one step at a time, and lean on others for support.

For Veterans Day, we pause to recognize the brave men and women in our East Texas community who have served our country with courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication.

Whether it’s a neighbor, a parent, or a friend — their service has shaped our freedoms, and their legacy lives on in our hearts.

At Rader Funeral Homes of Longview-Henderson and Rosewood Park Cemetery, we are honored to serve many veterans and their families. Each folded flag, each quiet salute, each memorial wreath — they matter deeply.

As November 11 approaches, we invite you to take a moment to:

+ Thank a veteran in your life
+ Visit a local memorial
+ Share a story of service with the next generation

Their service deserves more than a day — it deserves our daily gratitude.

Absolutely.

Just like traditional services, cremation memorials can reflect the life, passions, and personality of your loved one. From custom urns and tribute videos to memory tables, music, or even themed decor—there are countless ways to create a meaningful experience.

Want to include military honors? Display a favorite quilt or hobby items? Share a slideshow or plantable seed cards? We can help you bring it to life.

A cremation memorial is about how we remember, not how we said goodbye.

📞 Have questions about planning? We’re here to help when you’re ready.

This season, we pause not just to give thanks but to remember. For the meals we shared, the traditions passed down, the stories that still make us smile… we are grateful.

As you gather with loved ones, may you feel the quiet presence of those who came before you, and the comfort of their lasting impact.
