Today is International Women’s Day, and it feels like the perfect moment to introduce the woman behind Restore by Studio Ink.

Hi, I’m April.

I’m a wife of 25 years, a mom to two incredible grown children, and a very proud coco to two beautiful grandkids. Family has always been the heart of everything I do.

Starting Restore has been one of the most meaningful leaps of faith in my life. I created this studio with a passion for helping people restore confidence in their own skin through paramedical tattooing.

This work goes far beyond aesthetics. It’s about healing, restoration, and helping people move forward from scars, injuries, and life experiences that may have changed how they see themselves.

Building a business as a woman later in life has been both humbling and empowering. It reminds me of something I truly believe:

We are honored to feature the breathtaking work of Melinda Buie, an internationally exhibiting artist whose creations bring emotion, movement, and soul into every space they inhabit.

Melinda Buie was born and raised in East Texas and is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. After graduation, she moved to New York, where she currently lives and maintains her studio in Port Chester, NY. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and her professional background includes work with the Whitney Museum of American Art, Gluckman Mayner Architects, and The Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting visual artists through prestigious grants.

Her beautiful, one-of-a-kind creations are now available for private viewing in the Lower Deck of The Lab on Center.
