Both Strong & Steady (5PM) and Bootcamp (6PM) will meet at Cascade Middle School (small gym) next Monday, Nov 3rd instead of The Roxy.

We’ll be back to our regular location at The Roxy the following week.

🌿 Manifesting, Gently

Let’s take the magic out of manifesting — not to kill it, but to understand it.

New neuroscience studies on luck show that what we call “manifestation” might simply be the brain’s pattern-recognition system at work. When we believe something is possible, our mind begins scanning the world for evidence of that possibility. The same way you suddenly start seeing yellow cars everywhere after thinking about one — you’re not conjuring them, you’re just noticing what was already there.

That’s the quiet power of mindset.
When you decide to look for opportunity, your perception shifts. Your reticular activating system — the brain’s filter for relevance — starts flagging people, places, and moments that align with what you’re open to.

But there’s a fine line.
Visualizing your future with clarity and hope is healthy. Trying to force that future — to bend people, timelines, or yourself to make it happen — isn’t. I know that tension intimately. My twenties were marked by white-knuckling outcomes, thinking if I just tried harder, I could control everything. My thirties taught me the opposite: that the most powerful kind of manifestation is often rooted in allowing.

Manifestation isn’t about control. It’s about alignment.
We can only walk that line through self-awareness — when our ego is loved but not leading, when we trust that we are worthy of what we seek but not entitled to it. We can visualize outcomes clearly, but the moment we try to grip them too tightly, we lose sight of the deeper purpose underneath them.

It’s all duality:
• Nothing is about us, yet everything is.
• We must love others deeply, but only by loving ourselves first.
• The world can be chaotic and unfair, and still we feed our dogs and pay our taxes.

To manifest gently is to hold both — the dreaming and the doing, the longing and the letting go.
It’s not about earning or deserving. It’s about recognizing what was always meant for you once your mind, heart, and awareness were ready to see it.

🌱 Self-Awareness, Habit Loops, and the Power of Choice

I started listening to The Power of Habit this morning, and a passage stopped me in my tracks.
The author, Charles Duhigg, explains that when we don’t develop personal awareness or take ownership of our habits, we slowly lose the ability to recognize what needs to change around us. We become comfortable inside our routines — even when those routines are quietly harmful — and this comfort ripples outward, shaping our families, friendships, and the spaces we move through (a little like groupthink, or how we unconsciously influence one another).

At a neurological level, our brains build habit loops — cue → routine → reward — to conserve energy. The brain loves efficiency, and once a pattern is set, it runs automatically. But when we learn to see those loops clearly and understand them without judgment, we gain the ability to choose differently.

It dawned on me that watching my clients choose simple acts of self-recognition — noticing a habit and meeting it with compassion — has influenced more areas of their lives than just muscle tone or the self-love rituals we’ve built together in session. And when I think about my classes, I realize these shared spaces quietly feed my deeper passion for creating lasting, positive ripples in the world — not by force, but by awareness. By choice.

For a long time, I didn’t fully understand why creating community mattered so much to me. But this morning, it made sense: when we gather — to move, breathe, learn, or connect — we’re not just improving our own lives. We’re rebuilding the small, human habits of community: cooperation instead of comparison, curiosity instead of criticism, compassion instead of complacency.

The mind is incredible.
The spirit is indomitable.
And choice is our most powerful tool.

So maybe start small — tonight, tomorrow, this week.
Pick one habit, one impulse, one routine you’re not sure why you do.
Look at it clearly.
Notice any judgment that comes up, and release it.
Then make one gentle shift — a cue, a choice, a pause — and keep showing up to it.

If you decide to try it, I’d love to hear what you choose.
I’ll start: I have a bad habit of buying skincare products at 11 p.m. on my phone. Tonight, I’m choosing to notice it — and set the phone down instead. 💛

Morning rituals don’t have to be big to make a big difference. ☕🌧️

Every day I try to step outside within the first 15 minutes of waking up—coffee in hand, breath in the air, rain or shine. It’s where I find my first calm thoughts, where gratitude starts to grow, and where my nervous system remembers that I’m safe.

Try it this week: before you grab your phone, open the door. Let the world remind you how big and beautiful it still is.
