Yesterday we celebrated the incredible women of Delaware Plaza in honor of International Women’s Day. ❤️

Our wonderful ladies enjoyed Irish cream soda while sharing their thoughts on the question, “A woman who inspires you…” It was a meaningful time of reflection and appreciation for the resilience, courage, kindness, strength, and love that women bring to our community every day.

To all the amazing women in our community, residents and team members alike, thank you for inspiring us and for continuing to shine by being your authentic self.

We enjoy seeing our family friends coming and sharing their travel stories in England and Paris! They really inspired our ladies and gentlemen, and it truly felt like we were there! ✈️🌍✨

Our residents loved singing along to the joyful sounds of the Scenic View Strummers and their lively ukulele performance! 🎶 We’re so grateful you bring such wonderful energy and melody to our community. ❤️

This Valentine’s Day, we had the honor of hosting a wedding that our community will never forget. 💍❤️

Robin chose to hold her wedding here at Delaware Plaza so her 94-year-old father, Rolf (one of our residents), could walk her down the aisle. Adopted by Rolf and his wife at just 14 days old, she has always been “daddy’s little girl.” After experiencing heartbreaking loss early in life, Robin never imagined she would remarry until she met Jimmy, whom she has been with for nine years. Robin shared that a wedding is one of the most romantic things they can do on Valentine’s Day, and nothing meant more to her than having her father in attendance.

Watching Rolf proudly give his daughter away was a moment filled with emotion and gratitude, a beautiful reminder that love endures and new beginnings are always possible.

Rolf, Robin, and Jimmy’s story touched so many of our residents and team members, and now it's reaching even more hearts. Thank you to FOX 12 Oregon for sharing this beautiful celebration with the Southwest Washington and Portland communities.

Our ladies and gentlemen had a wonderful time learning about Lunar New Year traditions, such as red envelopes and the Chinese Zodiac calendar. It was so much fun discovering everyone’s animal sign and its corresponding characteristics!🧧✨
We also explored lucky Lunar New Year foods such as apples, oranges, pineapple, and dumplings—each carrying a special meaning:
Apple – a symbol of harmony, peace, and safety
Oranges – a symbol of fullness and wealth
Pineapple – invites good fortune and prosperity into our lives
Dumplings – a way of summoning wealth

We even learned how to say “Happy Lunar New Year” in Mandarin: Xin Nian Kuai Le (Happy Lunar New Year!)

What an interesting afternoon embracing the beauty of cultural differences! Wishing that the new year brings us good health, abundance, and happiness!❤️💛

Our Sweetheart Dinner was filled with love and unforgettable moments! ❤️ On this special evening, we proudly crowned our Sweetheart King and Queen. 👑 A heartfelt thank you to Mark Nelson for performing beautiful, romantic love songs that made the night even more magical. We love celebrating each holiday and creating lasting memories at Delaware Plaza! ❤️

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! 💘
We not only enjoyed Cupid’s Kiss Mocktails — a popular red, sweet, and fruity drink with a little drop of rose and vanilla syrup — but we also wrote Valentine’s cards to spread our love to others.
Let’s make this Valentine’s Day special with more smiles, love, and happiness! ❤️
