Got a vacation coming up??? First things first....

DON'T PANIC!!!

A vacation is meant to be just that...VACATION. Do not stress when you're outside of your routine. A couple of days isn't going to ruin all your progress. The stress will simply cause more harm than good. Our mental health is just as important as our physical health. Vacation is meant for rest, a recharge....NOT restriction. And when the vacation is over, you go back to your routine.

What happens over a few days isn't going to change what you do the rest of your year when you're consistent. If you're still worried, we can always make SMART choices. Just remember to enjoy your time. Simply put...

If you've been following along, we've talked about all our macronutrients. But you may still be asking yourself how to put things together for a balanced meal. A balanced meal typically just means a little of everything. The fat, protein, and carbs all work together to keep us feeling full, provide energy, and create consistency. There is no perfect formula for a perfect plate. As your nutritional goals change, so does your plate. But here's a few ideas:

Avocado Toast with Eggs
Chicken w/rice and veggies
Protein Smoothie
Yogurt Parfait
Salad with a protein

A balanced meal doesn't need to be complicated. It's not about having the PERFECT meal. It's about creating balance and consistency. Something you can maintain and enjoy.

Remember it's not a sprint, it's a marathon. We didn't get to where we are overnight, so why would you expect your results to come that way? Consistency, small wins, and intentional movement is what gets us to the end of the year and result.

Let's talk "CHEAT DAYS"

What they are: Normally, these days come from restriction. We feel this is a reward so we can go "all in" on those things we've considered off limits.
Why they DON'T work: Having over indulgent days often create a swinging cycle. Big swings makes consistency harder to maintain. Complete deprivation almost never works.
What DOES work: Moderation is key. It's important to still have the things you enjoy in your life.

There are no perfect days and there's no ruined days. There's just meals. One indulgence doesn't require guilt. A single meal doesn't undo progress. Enjoying food is part of having a healthy relationship with it.
