For those who are nervous about needles, we have another system called "Frequency Specific Microcurrent" absolutely involves ZERO needles. This system is also the same system that Cleveland Clinic is using. This system is using microcurrent to "resonate" aka "talk" to your cell to increase ATP (the major source of energy in the body) up to 500%. It helps to reduce inflammation, pain and scar tissues. Treatment is non-invasive and not painful.

Our timeline started in 2013 when Dr. Pam Verlander opened Community Acupuncture of Longwood to offer affordable alternative health care in a relaxed, positive atmosphere. Her hard work has proven to have benefited the community of Longwood and the surrounding areas.
As the clinic expands, Dr. Nancy Chau joined the practice as Wai Acupuncture & Integrative Chinese Medicine in 2017 to provide acupuncture and herbal medicine services. This has been welcomed by our clients due to the expanded hours and the desire of herbal medicine for some clients as an added modality.
In mid-2018, Dr Verlander decided she would need to take a sabbatical break to determine her next acupuncture and life adventure. She had set her last day with the practice to be the end of September 2018. Before her next adventure begins, she is spending time with her family and friends and enjoying life.
In response to client needs, Wai Acupuncture has begun offering integrative and hybrid services beginning in October 2018.
One of the more important modalities introduced is NeuroScience Acupuncture Specialty. Since its inception in late Sept 2018, we have received numerous positive feedback from our clients. In less than five months, Wai Acupuncture has increased from one Neuro-Puncture station to four Neuro-Puncture stations. Clients find this service extremely cost-effective and it has quickly gained high popularity.
We chose an "Integrative approach" (Eastern & Western) because we believe there are great values from both sides. We see Eastern and Western medicine complement each other. Therefore, combining the two is very powerful!
