Lopez Island Pharmacy will be Closed on Monday February 16th for Presidents’ Day. We will reopen on Tuesday February 17th.

UPDATE - phones are up and working - Lopez Island Pharmacy is open normal hours today (9am - 6pm but closed for lunch from 12:30pm - 1:30pm), however our phone provider is having an outage and so our phones are down currently but we are here and open for business. If you need something and can’t get through our phones just stop by. Hopefully they will resolve the issue soon, but thank you for your understanding and patience.

Hello! This is Josuah Tilus, the new owner of Lopez Island Pharmacy. I will be participating in the Winter Health Fair this Saturday from 10am to 2pm at the Lopez Community Center. Feel free to stop by and say hi! I would love to meet you! I will also be handing out free COVID/FLU tests.

Hello everyone! This is Josuah, the new owner from Lopez Island Pharmacy!

I hope you've had a great start to the new year! As we work through the transition with Rick & Marge's retirement, we'll be having a friend and fellow pharmacist from Las Vegas help us for a few months starting January 14th.

To our wonderful Lopez Community,

We have been blessed to be your pharmacists for the past 31 years. We appreciate and value the trust and loyalty you have given us. We often brag to our colleagues about how supportive our community is, and we are so grateful for all of you.

Our end goal has always been to leave Lopez with a strong pharmacy, high caliber pharmacy ownership, and a pharmacist dedicated to patient care as a primary goal. We think we finally found that and it is worth the extra time it took!

As of 1/1/26, Lopez Island Pharmacy will be owned and operated by Josuah Tilus, in partnership with Cascadia Pharmacy Group. Josuah brings a caring attitude and team approach to pharmacy management. He is a wonderful young man and our community is lucky he choose us! All our current staff remain on board to help, and we will be occasionally lurking around the pharmacy to help out as well. We will fill in and take some after hours calls to support Josuah.

With gratitude to all of our employees, past and present, to everyone that made memories Trick or Treating, dining at the Soda Fountain, shopping at the pharmacy or attending our vaccine clinics. Thank you Lopez, it’s been an awesome 31 years.

Lopez Island Pharmacy will be closed for New Years
Closing early on Wednesday 12/31/25 at 3pm and closed Thursday 1/1/2026 through Sunday 1/4/2026. We will reopen on Monday 1/5/2026

I admit this article is a bit long and a bit technical, however it is very well written.

The ability of SARS CoV2 viruses to evade detection and change host cellular response are some of the many reasons I have such respect for the damage that the SARS CoV2 virus can inflict. It is really an elegant little invading overlord, adept at overthrowing host defense systems. And it appears to be constantly evolving and improving its systems. Very scary, and not enough people recognize this.

Sure you might have mild symptoms now, but what is happening to your cells once the invasion begins? What other effects will happen 3 years from now, 10 years from now?

This is why I still take precautions. I may inevitably come down with Covid, but I am going to avoid it as much as possible.

SARS-CoV-2 evades early immune defenses and triggers delayed hyperinflammation, leading to acute damage and chronic immune dysfunction that underlies Long COVID.
