💙Rehab Sucess Story Spotlight💙

After 72 days at Autumn Aegis, (yes, we counted!) Ismael is finally heading home to where he belongs: with his family. 💙

When Ismael first arrived just before Halloween, he faced significant challenges with swallowing, walking, communication, and completing daily self-care tasks. Through dedication, resilience, and a whole lot of hard work, he showed up every single day ready to push himself forward.

With the support of our interdisciplinary team and his own determination, Ismael made steady, meaningful progress. Today, he’s stronger, more independent, and excited to continue life back at home surrounded by family.

We are incredibly proud of Ismael and honored to have been part of his recovery journey. Wishing him continued strength, health, and happiness in this next chapter! 👏🏽🏡

💙 Rehab Success Story Spotlight 💙

Phyllis came to Autumn Aegis for rehabilitation after a fall just before Thanksgiving that resulted in a broken left hip. Following a successful hip replacement, she began therapy focused on strengthening her leg, improving her balance, and regaining her independence with walking.

Like many residents early in recovery, Phyllis initially faced significant pain and weakness, but she never let that define her journey. With determination, grit, and a positive attitude, she pushed through the hard days and steadily progressed to walking independently and managing all of her daily needs.

What truly set Phyllis apart was her spirit. She brought encouragement, humor, and joy to every therapy session, motivating not only herself but also her fellow rehab residents along the way. Her excitement to return home independently was contagious, and well earned.

We are so proud of Phyllis and honored to have been part of her recovery journey. Stories like hers remind us why we do what we do every day. 💪✨

🎄💚 The Grinch Stole Our Hearts! 💚🎄

Look who snuck into our nursing home….the Grinch himself! 👀
He came in a little mischievous, but after meeting our residents, sharing laughs, and spreading holiday cheer, it’s safe to say his heart grew at least three sizes.

Smiles were shared, photos were snapped, and joy filled the halls, proof that a little holiday magic (and a fuzzy green visitor) can go a long way. Thank you to everyone who helped make this moment so special for our residents.

Who knew the Grinch just needed a nursing home family to remind him what Christmas is all about? 🎅✨💚

We are excited to announce our monthly Dementia Caregiver Support Group at Autumn Aegis! Whether you’re currently caring for a loved one, have in the past, or simply want to learn more about dementia and how to support someone living with it, everyone is welcome.

📅 Meets the last Thursday of each month

🕒 First session: January 29, 2026 at 3:00 PM

🍪 Snacks & refreshments provided

Each month we’ll cover important topics to support you on your caregiving journey, including dementia progression, adaptive care techniques, legal and estate planning, home health options, and more.

⭐️Therapy Graduate Alert⭐️
Betty came to us for rehab after a tough fall left her with significant back pain. In those early days, the pain was no joke, but Betty met every challenge with grit, determination, and that signature spark of hers.

Thanks to her hard work and unwavering spirit, she’s now up on her feet, walking strong, taking on stairs, and glowing with pride. And the best part? She’s heading home just in time to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday.

Go, Betty, go! We’re all cheering for you! 🧡

⭐️Therapy Graduation Spotlight⭐️
Nancy joined Autumn Aegis following several hospitalizations, arriving determined to regain her strength and independence. Upon admission, she required assistance with daily activities and mobility, but her dedication and positive attitude quickly stood out. Throughout her rehabilitation, Nancy worked diligently with the therapy team and consistently encouraged her peers along the way. Her perseverance paid off as she grew stronger each day, ultimately achieving her goal of returning home to her family with renewed confidence and pride.

Congratulations Nancy and thank you for the two thumbs up 👍 🎉🥳!

🍁🎃 What an incredible day at our Annual Autumn Festival & Trick-or-Treat Event! Our residents, staff, families, and community came together for an afternoon filled with costumes and sweet treats.🍬
We loved seeing so many smiling faces enjoying the petting zoo, visiting our amazing community partners’ decorated tables, and joining our residents in handing out candy. Thank you to everyone who made this event such a success. We’re already looking forward to next year! ❤️
