OhioPRO Peer Recovery Summit 2025, Day Two. What a great networking opportunity with a collection of amazing human beings. Unfortunately, Day One was cut short due to a power outage, likely caused by the overload of energy this group brought into the building.

Each April, the US Department of Justice’s “Office of Justice Programs” celebrates Second Chance Month. Far too often, good people make bad decisions that may haunt them for years to come. In many cases an individual deserves an opportunity to rebuild and become a contributing member of society.

The Lorain County Adult Probation Department recognizes Second Chance Month by hosting their “Second Chance Job Fair & Expo.” Dozens of local businesses and agencies teamed up to provide the resources necessary to curb recidivism and allow for the second chance so many deserve. Silver Maple Recovery was on hand to offer services to those struggling with SUD.

Silver Maple Recovery Lorain opened its doors to the community for a first look and tour of our new Female Sober Living Facility. Among those in attendance were Mayor Jack Bradley, Deputy Chief of Police Michael Failing, President & CEO of Sprenger Health Care Systems Shannon Kuhn, and Director of Business Development for Silver Maple Recovery Brian Tonsetic . This additional programming will play an integral role in many women's lives as they embark on a new way of living.
