Resident Spotlight: Alice Glickman as narrated to Bob Silver.
Alice preferred to be known as an ordinary woman. She grew up in Long Island, New York, in a modest family. Her father was a chemist who developed uses for mica - a group of silicate minerals employed in insulation, cosmetics, and cement- and eventually became a successful inventor. The family later relocated to Los Gatos, where Alice spent much of her adult life. A talented pianist, she studied music and went on to perform as a concert pianist, even playing at Carnegie Hall. Alice has one daughter, who lives nearby and encoluraged her to move to BridgePoint at Los Altos. There, Alice has made many friends and enjoys spending time with them.
