✨ Womb Plática Recap ✨

Our October Plática was a full and beautiful circle 🩶
Each month, I keep these gatherings small and intimate so we can slow down, share openly, and truly be in community with one another.

Together, we explored the importance of womb care through the wisdom of Mexican Traditional Medicine — remembering that tending to our wombs is an act of remembrance, healing, and love. 🌿

If you couldn’t join this month, I hope you’ll come to the next one in November.

These pláticas are free, gentle reminders that our bodies hold ancestral knowledge waiting to be listened to. 🕯️

✨️My little Mexican heart is so happy! ✨️

I had the absolute honor of being interviewed by the *Los Altos Town Crier* and having my story and work at Oxomohco Birth & Body Work featured in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. 🧡

I’m deeply grateful to have met these amazing humans, Christina and Danielle, who helped share this story and made this connection possible.

Thank you for helping me uplift our cultural traditions and the importance of honoring postpartum care and birth work in the community.

We start TONIGHT ‼️
This month is overflowing with beautiful opportunities to connect, grow, and strengthen our community.

Our first event starts TONIGHT at 6:30pm our monthly womb platica video call.

I will be joining our elders in Xochimilco Mexico for the annual Traditional Herbal and Medicine festival. 🥳❤️‍🔥

On this National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Rememberance Day, I am inviting the community to join me in putting an altar together for the babies we have lost and the mothers who did not survive their birthing experience. Come as you are and lay an offering down for your loved ones.

I will be tabling at the MB Photography Night Market in San Juan Bautista! Come by and say hello.

This year, I had the joy of stepping onto the main stage at The Prego Expo to share about something so close to my heart—the importance of postpartum care. 💜

I left feeling inspired by all the beautiful families I had the pleasure of meeting, each one a reminder of why this work matters so deeply. 🌸

Postpartum is a sacred time, and I’m so grateful for every opportunity to spread awareness, share resources, and hold space for parents on this journey.

✨ Today marks the beginning of National Hispanic Heritage Month, just one day before Mexican Independence Day.

Although I personally don’t identify as “Hispanic,” this is one of the few nationally recognized moments where my identity and story find a place.

My name is Jasmin Olvera-Dena (pronounced just like Juan, José, Jesús—it’s *Jasmin* ). I am the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants, rooted in our traditions, and dedicated to supporting families in California.

My culture, heritage, and ancestral practices shape the way I show up for families every day. While I don’t often share much of my personal life here, I am currently living between CA and CDMX, continuing to practice and preserve our traditions so they are not forgotten.

This month, I am honored to be a guest speaker at San José City College, sharing the work we do at Oxomohco.
