We are partnering with Valley Oasis for a free trauma-informed webinar designed to help you show up with confidence for survivors of domestic violence. Whether you are a community member, advocate, or someone who wants to do more, this training will give you the tools to make a real difference.

Topics include understanding trauma, power and control dynamics, unhealthy relationships, safety planning strategies, and key resources and support.

Wednesday, May 27 from 2:00pm to 3:30pm PST. Free to attend. Register at the link in our bio. πŸ’œ

Here's something we don't talk about enough. 🏠

A safe home is not just a roof over your head. For survivors of domestic violence, it is the foundation for everything else. Safety. Healing. Employment. Family. None of it is possible without somewhere stable to land.

At Haven Hills, we walk alongside survivors from the moment they call us through emergency shelter, transitional housing, and beyond. Because when survivors have stability, everything changes.

Donate at the link in our bio and help a survivor find a home that finally feels safe. πŸ’š

For every survivor who has ever been made to feel like safety was something they had to earn. πŸ’š

Safety is not a privilege. It is not something you have to be perfect enough for, quiet enough for, or strong enough for. It is a basic human right. And at Haven Hills, we believe that with everything we do.

If you or someone you love is in an unsafe situation, we are here. Our 24/7 hotline is always open: 818-887-6589.

This April, help us make sure no survivor has to face this alone. Donate your ticket at the link in our bio.

For survivors of domestic violence, safety is everything. πŸ’š

This April, Haven Hills is doing something a little different. Instead of hosting a gala, we are inviting you to stay home and give hope.

An Evening at Home for Hope is our community fundraiser, where you donate what you would have spent on a night out. No venue, no dress code, just a meaningful gift that goes directly to the people who need it most.

Here's something we don't talk about enough... every stat we share has a human being behind it.

321 individuals found shelter with us. 22,600 nights of safety. Nearly 5,000 hotline calls answered. As our CEO, Iliana Tavera says, these are more than numbers; they are moments of safety, empowerment, and hope for people who needed someone to show up for them.

We've been showing up since 1977. This April, you can too. An Evening at Home for Hope is our community fundraiser where you can make a difference from wherever you are β€” no event required, just a genuine desire to see survivors thrive. πŸ’š

Stay home. Give hope. 🌱 Your donation, big or small, can become a lifeline for survivors of domestic violence. Instead of buying a ticket to an event, we're inviting you to donate that amount from the comfort of your own home.

Here's what your "ticket" provides:

$25 covers essential items for a survivor arriving at shelter.
$50 gets someone to a court appointment, medical visit, or housing service.
$100 funds trauma-informed counseling for survivors and their children.
$250 helps shelter and support a family fleeing violence.
$500 supports comprehensive advocacy and safety planning.

No venue. No dress code. Just the powerful impact of your generosity. Donate at the link in our bio and help create a safer tomorrow for survivors in our community. πŸ’š

We have good news, and we need your help. πŸ™Œ

The California Senate has proposed $100 million in victim services funding, and that means real resources for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and human trafficking across our state.

We are grateful to the senators who made this happen. But the May Revise is coming, and we need Governor Newsom to keep this funding in the final budget.

Here is how you can take action right now:
Share this post to bring attention to VOCA funding.
Sign the letter urging federal action at the link in our bio.

And if you can, show up in person at the upcoming budget hearings in Sacramento on April 27, April 30, or May 7.

Every voice counts.

Raise your hand if you believe all people deserve stability and safety. πŸ™‹

Meet Jahnai, secretary of our board and incoming vice president, and one of the many reasons we're proud of the team behind this mission. Domestic violence may be loud in the lives of survivors, but it's far too quiet everywhere else.

That's exactly why Jahnai shows up, and why we're asking our community to do the same this April.

An Evening at Home for Hope is a different kind of fundraiser, one that meets you where you are. Instead of attending an event, you can participate from the comfort of your home by making a donation in place of a night out. No venue, no dress code, just a simple and meaningful way to make a real difference for survivors and their families.

Your "ticket" is your donation. Just like you'd purchase a ticket to a gala or a show, we invite you to donate that same amount to Haven Hills instead. Whether that's $25, $50, $100, or more, every gift goes directly to survivors who need it most. Link in bio to donate your ticket. πŸ’š

Why do women stay? Listen to Scarlett, Sabra, and Sophie.

Societal pressure. Isolation. Fear. Financial control. Lack of stability. The barriers to leaving are real. And they're not about loveβ€”they're about survival.

We're creating the stability survivors need to escape safely. "An Evening at Home for Hope" funds shelter, counseling, and financial independence for people ready to break free.

You don't need a fancy ticket. Just donate what you'd spend on a night out.
