Coming to CFY a 5 Day Sama-Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Intensivewith Chuck Miller
Mon, January 20 - Fri, January 24, 2025
8:00am-2:30pm
In this workshop the goal is to help students cultivate a beginner's mind and deepen their understanding of yoga, ultimately leading to constant improvement. Open to all with an open mind, this course will include practice, philosophy, and discussion to help participants challenge themselves in the most appropriate way.
Beginner’s Mind! The evolution of our practice. “Life is too short to change the ending! Change the Beginning!” Esther Perel Make the Beginning more important than the end! “Well begun is half done.” When the preparations are done sufficiently the rest follows with less effort. Those are all very close to the meaning of Vinyasa.
This workshop will focus on the essential core practices within the practice; the aspects of practice that are always present. Breath Roots Core. How present can we be? To recognize Serendipity’s Gift when she presents it, and to accept it! Knowledge and Understanding is our power.
It is not about how fast you go, nor how far; understand what Yoga is, what it wants us to understand and then little by little we move in that direction. It is aspirational. The real yoga is invisible and without an end. Yoga is asking the impossible of us! And she delivers!
This course is open to anyone with an open mind. We will seek to find ways to challenge all in their most appropriate way. The essential core practices apply to any practice, and in fact to life itself.
Each day will include practice, philosophy, and time for questions and dialog.
